
Guided Breath For Balance & Inspiration

A guided meditation using your breath to find your balance and connection - feeling united between Heaven & Earth. The beat of the earth becomes one with your breath, as does the flow of the Heavens... so you feel supported and expanded. This meditation will help relieve stress, anxiety, pain, and overwhelm.

Thank you for joining me here today.
I have found it so important in my own life to invite the balance of heaven and earth into my breath,
Into my moments and my movements throughout my day.
And I often use a variation of this meditation with my clients at the conclusion of a session.
It's a wonderful holding and an assurance of the connection we have from above and below.
Thank you for joining me in this time to reconnect to heaven and earth,
For you to be grounded and supported from below,
As well as held and enlivened from above.
As we begin to settle into our time together,
Gently close your eyes or lower your gaze,
Move your body so you feel at ease and comfortable.
And within this ease and comfort,
I acknowledge the land on which we are all on,
Scattered all over the globe,
Acknowledging the Aboriginal elders past,
Present and emergent,
That have cared for our lands and may we continue that care for our earth for millennia to come.
And I ask you to bring a gentle smile to your face,
To gently raise the corners of your mouth,
Allowing your body to instantly feel slightly lighter,
For your shoulders to drop and your feet to balance,
Allowing your mind,
Your body and your spirit to settle into joy,
Comfort and appreciation.
And now bring your attention to your breath,
Notice your breath,
Notice your chest rise and fall,
Notice your lungs expand and contract,
Notice the air coming in through your nose,
Notice the life that comes to your body with your breath.
And we are going to use this life-giving breath to connect your mind,
Your body and your spirit to heaven and to earth.
As you notice your breath,
Not wanting to change it,
Not wanting to be different,
But just notice your breath as it comes in and out through your body,
Into your lungs,
Into your nervous system,
Your blood,
Your veins,
Your bones,
Your every cell,
Bringing appreciation and gratitude for this life-giving breath,
For the air around you that fills your body with joy,
With inspiration and healing.
And as you notice your breath in your lungs,
I ask you to bring your attention to your breath as it moves through your body,
As it moves downward from your lungs,
Through your organs,
Through your liver and your kidneys,
Your gallbladder.
With every expansion and contraction your breath moving through and lower from your organs down through to your hips.
And as your breath lands in your hips with an expansion and a contraction there,
And as your breath moves from your hips down through your quads,
Hamstrings to your knees,
And notice your breath there.
And then as your breath travels further down through your knees,
Through your calves and into your ankles,
And as you breathe again,
Your breath moves from your ankles down through your heels,
Through all the bones of your feet to the very tips of your toes.
And now bring your breath to the tips of your toes and imagine your breath moving out from the tips of your toes down into the ground,
Not just onto the surface but down through the layers of the earth,
Deep down,
So your breath is now connected to the earth below.
And as your breath connects to the earth below,
It hears and feels and connects to the beat of the earth,
The drumbeat,
The frequency,
The rhythm of the earth becomes one with your breath,
And your breath becomes the earth filling your body with nurture,
Sustenance,
Holding,
Courage and joy.
And in your breath we bring and feel the beat of the earth into your mind,
Into your body and your spirit.
As your breathing is allowed,
The beat of the earth to fill your every cell,
To find the frequency that comes from the holding of the earth.
As you breathe out,
Allow the appreciation and the gratitude to fall back down to the earth,
To go down into the earth to support and hold the earth beneath you.
And as we breathe a few more moments in this holding of the earth,
Becoming one with the beat of the earth,
One with its nurture and its nourishment,
With its strength and compassion and care.
As we breathe this rhythm and feel the frequency of the earth moving into our body and out of your body with your breath,
Noticing the grounding,
The holding,
Noticing the deep gratitude that you have as a reciprocal movement of frequency from the earth and into the earth.
And we gently now move our breath from deep in the earth,
Up through the layers,
Back to the tips of your toes and back up through your body,
Through your feet,
Your heels,
Your calves,
Your knees,
Your hips and back to your lungs and take a few breaths there.
Notice your breath and hear the beat of the earth in your body,
In your cells,
Notice the frequencies of the earth that fill your cells.
And gently as we move our attention to our breath,
Moving up from your lungs,
Through your heart,
Through your shoulders and arms and up through your neck,
Moving up through your jaw,
Your ears,
Noticing your breath through your mouth and your nose,
Your eyes and as your breath moves up through And as your breath moves up through your brain to the very crown of your head and we notice the beat of the earth all the way up through your body to the very crown of your head.
And now imagine your breath moving from the crown of your head,
Off and up and into the air,
Moving upwards,
Up and out into the sky.
Moving from the sky further out through the layers of the atmosphere,
Up into the heavens with the stars and the planets and your breath in the spaciousness,
In the darkness and the light.
Imagining your breath moving,
Expanding and contracting with the heavens.
Noticing your breath,
Finding the frequency of the creative energy in the heavens,
So that your mind,
Your body and your spirit are now connecting with the frequencies of enlightenment.
Of saying,
Of knowing,
Of wisdom,
Of being.
Found in the expansion of your lungs,
In your cells and in your body.
Feel the rhythm and the beat of the heavens,
Of the expansion of the wisdom,
Of the light and the dark.
The rhythm that is offered in your body to your spirit from all of creation.
And a reminder of the holding from the earth,
At the same time the rhythm,
The beat of the earth.
So now you are held from above and below,
Feeling the beat of the earth with the beat of the heavens,
Coming in unison,
Coming into balance with your breath.
And as you bring your breath back into your body from the heavens,
Your breath moves down through the layers of the atmosphere,
Back to the crown of your head.
And as your breath moves down into your heart space,
Into your lung space,
Allow your breath to move in and out,
To expand and contract.
Knowing that you are now held as one between heaven and earth.
And your breath is now the connector between heaven and earth.
Your breath,
The rhythm between heaven and earth,
In your mind,
Your body and your spirit.
Allowing you to move and flex and sway and smile and hear and see and feel all that is around you,
Being held from the earth and held from above.
Feeling grounded,
Creative,
Nurtured and expansive.
Notice this breath and as you breathe in and out,
Notice this breath,
Hold it,
Love it,
Invite it.
And now gently taking one more deep breath,
Feeling and noticing the difference in your body,
Your mind and your spirit,
Being held from above and below.
And as we bring this time to a close,
Gently coming back into your body,
Come back into time and space in which you find yourself.
Gently bring your attention to the sounds around you,
Pay attention to the feels around you,
Gently move your toes and your fingers.
You may want to move your body to stretch or sway,
Just bring yourself back into your body gently,
Gently,
Bring yourself back into your body,
Noticing what's around you,
The colors,
The sounds,
The feels.
And when you live from this space of connection from above and below,
Feeling the frequency and the rhythm of heaven and earth in your body,
In your mind and your spirit,
You are nurtured,
Held and strengthened in all you do.
