Thank you for joining me here today.
My name is Lisa and I found it so important in my life to invite and be held by and through the balance of heaven and earth.
I often use a variation of this meditation with my clients at the conclusion of a session as a wonderful holding and assurance of the connection we have from above and below.
As we begin to settle into our time together gently close your eyes or lower your gaze and move your body so you feel at ease and comfortable.
Within this ease and comfort I acknowledge the lands on which we're all on,
Scattered all over the globe,
Acknowledging the Indigenous Elders past,
Present and emerging who have looked after the lands,
The waters and the skies.
As we begin gently bring your attention to your breath.
Notice your breath.
Notice your chest rise and fall.
Notice your lungs expand and contract.
Notice the air coming in through your nose.
Notice the life that comes to your body with your breath.
We are going to use your life-giving breath to connect to your heaven and earth.
As you notice your breath,
Not wanting to change it,
Not wanting it to be different,
Just notice your breath as it comes in and out through your body,
Your lungs,
Into your nervous system,
Into your blood,
Your veins,
Your bones,
Your every cell.
Bringing appreciation and gratitude for this life-giving breath,
For the air around you that fills your body with joy,
Inspiration and healing.
And as we notice your breath in through your lungs,
I ask you to bring your attention to your breath as it moves through your body,
As it moves downwards from your lungs,
Through your organs,
Through your liver,
Your kidneys,
Your gallbladder.
With every expansion and contraction of your breath,
Moving through and lower from your organs,
Down through to your hips,
And as your breath lands in your hips now,
With an expansion and contraction there,
As your breath moves from your hips down through your quads and hamstrings to your knees,
And notice your breath there.
And then as your breath travels further down through your knees,
Through your calves,
Down to your ankles,
And as you breathe again,
Your breath moves from your ankles down through your heels,
Through all the bones of your feet to the very tips of your toes.
And now bring your breath to the tips of your toes and imagine your breath moving out from the tips of your toes down into the ground,
Not just onto the surface but down through the layers of the earth,
Deep down so your breath is now connected to the earth below.
And as your breath connects to the earth below,
It hears and feels and connects to the beat of the earth,
The drumbeat,
The frequency.
The rhythm of the earth becomes one with your breath and your breath becomes the earth filling your body with nurture,
With sustenance,
With holding,
With courage and with joy.
And in your breath we bring the feel and the beat of the earth into your mind,
Into your body and into your spirit.
As you're breathing is allowing the beat of the earth to fill your every cell,
To find the frequency that comes from the holding from the earth.
As you breathe out,
Allowing the appreciation and gratitude to fall back down to the earth,
To go down to the earth,
To support and hold the earth beneath you.
And as you breathe a few more moments in this holding of the earth becoming one with the beat of the earth,
One with its nurture and nourishment.
With its strength and compassion and care as we breathe this rhythm,
Feel the frequency of the earth moving into your body and out of your body with your breath.
Notice the grounding,
The holding,
Noticing the deep gratitude that you have as a reciprocal movement of frequency from the earth and back into the earth.
And as we gently move our breath from deep in the earth up through the layers back to the tips of your toes and back through your body landing back at your lungs.
Take a few breaths here.
Notice your breath,
Feel the beat of the earth in your body,
In your cells,
Notice the frequencies that fill your cells.
And gently as we move your attention to your breath moving up from your lungs through your heart space,
Through your shoulders and arms and up through your neck,
Moving up through your jaw,
Your ears.
Noticing your breath through your mouth,
Your nose,
Your eyes.
And as your breath moves up through your brain to the very crown of your head,
As we notice the beat of the earth all the way through your body to the very crown of your head.
And now imagine your breath moving upward from the crown of your head,
Moving upwards up and out into the sky,
Moving from the sky further out through the layers of the atmosphere,
Up into the heavens with the stars and the planets.
In the spaciousness,
The darkness and the light.
Imagining your breath moving,
Expanding and contracting with the heavens.
Noticing your breath,
Finding the frequency of the creative energy in the heavens so that your mind,
Your body and your spirit are now connecting with the frequencies of contraction and expansion.
Of saying,
Of knowing,
Of wisdom,
Of being.
Found in the expansion and the contraction of your lungs,
In your cells and in your body.
Do you feel the rhythm and the beat of the heavens?
Of the expansion,
Of the contraction,
Of the wisdom,
Of the light and the dark.
The rhythm that is offered in your body to your spirit from all of creation.
And a reminder of the holding from the earth,
The rhythm,
The beat of the earth.
So now you are held from above and below,
Feeling the beat of the earth with the beat of the heavens,
Coming into unison,
Coming into balance with your breath.
And as you bring your breath back into your body from the heavens,
As your breath moves down through the layers of atmosphere back to the crown of your head,
As your breath moves down into your heart space,
Into your lung space,
Allow your breath to move in and out,
To expand and contract.
Knowing that you are now held as one between heaven and earth.
Your breath is now the connector between heaven and earth.
Your breath,
The rhythm between heaven and earth in your mind,
Your body and your spirit.
Allowing you to move and flex and sway and smile and hear and see and feel all that is around you being held from earth and held from above.
Feeling grounded,
Creative,
Nurtured and expansive.
Notice this breath as you breathe in and out and notice this breath,
Hold it,
Love it,
Invite it in.
And now gently take one more breath,
Feeling and noticing the difference in your body,
Your mind and your spirit,
Being held from above and below.
As we bring this time to a close,
Come back to your body,
Gently bringing your attention to the sounds and the feels around you,
Gently moving your body.
And living from this space of connection from above and below,
Feeling the frequency and the rhythm of heaven and earth in your body,
Your mind and spirit.
Know that you are nurtured,
Held and strengthened in all you do.
