Hello,

Beautiful soul.

Welcome.

I'm so grateful you're here with me today for this meditation.

I know the idea of sitting down to meditate can be very intimidating if you're not familiar with the practice.

The benefits and the positivity that I've seen in my own life from practicing the art of meditation are truly indescribable.

It is my honor to guide you through this guided meditation today,

To share energy with you,

And to help you ease into this process.

You were meant to be here.

So with that being said,

Let's find a comfortable position.

There's no right or wrong in meditation,

So try and release any expectations you have at this point.

This is a practice,

And just like anything else,

It will get easier and more enjoyable over time.

To begin today,

You can either lie down on your back or sit up nice and tall with the crown of the head towards the ceiling,

Creating a nice,

Straight spine.

Taking a collective breath in here,

Filling up the body,

Inhaling through the nose,

You'll start to notice the chest and the belly expanding.

When you've taken as much air in as you can,

We'll slowly start to let it all go through the mouth.

Breathe it out.

One more time,

Inhale through the nose.

Feel audible out through the mouth.

We'll take the breath in and out of our nostrils now,

So reaching the crown of the head towards the sky,

Slightly tucking the chin to the chest.

We'll start to let the shoulders drop from the ears.

Breathing back a little bit,

Almost like you're settling into the back of a rocking chair,

Just leaning into the back body.

Softening the muscles around your eyes.

Softening the jawline and just letting the tongue fall from the roof of the mouth.

Tying the breath back in through the nose,

Seeing if you can trace it all the way down to the root,

That point of contact on the crown.

Then as you exhale,

Try to follow the breath,

Breathing out the nose from the belly,

Passing through the chest,

Through the throat,

And then out the nose.

And I invite you during this meditation today to just stay with your breath,

Gently breathing in,

Following it down each vertebrae,

And gently breathing out,

Releasing any judgments.

There is no right or wrong in meditation,

There just is.

If you find the mind wandering,

Just invite it back,

The same way you would invite your best friend to something.

Say your name and invite yourself with so much kindness back to the breath.

Hopefully you're softening in now,

Realizing that this process isn't all that scary.

It's okay if you want to bring a slight smile to the lips,

Because you're here and you're doing it.

And I invite you to release all effort at this time.

Drop inside your body.

Feel the body being breathed.

Feel the hands against your body and the body against your hands.

Maybe notice all those points of contact with the body against the earth and the earth back against your body.

And as you're releasing with the breath,

Maybe you start to notice all the different sounds going on around you that you might not have heard before as we're wrapped in the day-to-day of our busy lives.

And as you continue to release all effort at this time,

Just sitting here with ease,

I invite you to notice the temperature of the air around your body.

Maybe notice the temperature of the air coming in through your nose.

This amazing life force energy bringing life to all of our body,

Our bones,

Our blood,

Our muscles,

Our cells.

How lucky is it that we get to cleanse our body through this simple act of breathing,

This gift that we've been given as part of the human experience.

Feeling this expansiveness,

Let the heart shine forward as you inhale.

And as you exhale,

Just release anything that's no longer serving you.

You'll start to bring gratitude to the heart center,

To the mind's eye,

And just relate to one thing in your life right now that you're grateful for.

Maybe it's your body,

Your home,

Your family.

Try to feel this vibration,

This gratitude.

As you inhale,

Breathe it into the body,

Savoring this moment for a bit longer.

I'll give you the next five rounds of breath to just sit here being with yourself,

Maybe a moment of gratitude for yourself for showing up on this journey.

And as you start to bring awareness back into the body,

Remember that the way to do is to be.

I hope the rest of your day is filled with peace and gratitude and that you can carry this energy with you moving forward.

I'll see you next time.

Thank you.

I appreciate you.
