Hello and welcome to today's heart center meditation.
Begin by finding a comfortable position,
Sitting upright but relaxed or lying down if you prefer.
Close your eyes if this feels safe or gently soften your gaze.
Allow your hands to rest loosely in your lap or by your sides.
Begin to let go of your day and arrive here and now.
Bring your attention to your breath.
Feel the air as it enters your nose,
Moves through your body and gently leaves.
No need to change the breath.
Simply notice it.
Allowing your breath to become an anchor in this moment.
Now bring your awareness to your chest.
Your heart space.
Right in the middle of your chest.
Feel the rise and fall of your breath there.
Begin to imagine that each breath is flowing in and out.
Through your heart.
Inhale gently into the heart.
Exhale softly from the heart.
Breathe into your heart.
Breathe out from your heart.
Allowing each breath to be smooth.
Even.
Nourishing.
With each inhale,
Feel as though you're filling your heart with calm.
And each exhale,
Releasing anything heavy or tight.
Now,
Place one hand over your heart if that feels safe.
Feel the warmth of your hand.
Feel the rhythm of your heartbeat.
Steady.
Bring your full attention to the sensations here.
The pulse.
The warmth.
The space around your heart.
You're simply being with your heart.
Noticing.
Listening.
With care.
With patience.
With love.
Allow these words to repeat quietly in your mind.
I breathe into my heart.
I connect with my heart.
I trust what I feel.
I am safe.
I am here.
If thoughts arise,
Gently return your attention to your breath.
Blowing in and out of your heart.
If emotions arise,
Simply let them happen.
Your heart knows how to hold them.
Take a few more breaths here.
Into your heart.
Out from your heart.
Allowing your whole being to soften.
Now slowly begin to return.
Feeling your body being supported beneath you.
Your feet.
Your hands.
Gently wiggle your fingers and toes.
Taking one final deep breath.
Full and nourishing.
And when you're ready.
Gently and softly open your eyes.
Coming back into this space.
