Hello,
My name is Annabelle and this meditation is all about releasing anxiety.
So get comfortable,
Take a seat or lay down,
Make any final adjustments you need to,
Remembering that you are safe,
That you are in control,
That there is nothing else you need to do for the next five minutes.
I invite you to close your eyes if you feel comfortable to do so.
And if not,
Just softening your gaze in front of you.
I invite you to take a big inhale through your nose and exhale through your mouth.
Inhale through your nose and sighing out through your mouth and one final time allowing anything that needs to come out to come out.
Staying with long deep breaths through your nose for this meditation.
I want you to think about if there is a situation causing you anxiety right now.
There may be a million different outcomes and I want you to just sit with where you are right now and say I wonder how this could turn out the best possible way.
Realizing that right now you have done enough,
You are enough,
There is nothing else you can do right now except focus on your breath and breathe deeply.
Now I want you to think of a higher power,
God,
The universe,
Mother earth,
Whatever it may be,
And I want you to put trust in them.
Imagining that they have this situation all sorted for you,
That it is all working out for you.
Imagining in five years time that you may not even remember this problem and now coming back to that situation thinking of what is causing you anxiety and looking at it through this perspective of complete trust,
That it is working out for you and that in the scheme of things it's okay.
You've likely gone through similar events and they've been all consuming and years later you now don't remember them.
So allowing your breath to deepen again,
Connecting to a higher power,
Trusting the unknown because it has always worked out for you because it has always worked out for you in the past and so it will always work out for you now.
Taking another deep deep breath and exhaling,
Remembering to come back to your breath anytime your mind feels unsettled,
Handing this problem over to a higher power,
Knowing you have always done enough and that you are enough.
When you're ready,
Starting to move your fingers and toes,
Coming back to the present moment.
