Hello and welcome,
My name is Annabelle and in today's meditation we're gonna learn how to calm ourselves.
So first and foremost sitting down,
Having a straight posture,
Relaxing your shoulders,
Taking some slight movement into your neck before coming to stillness.
I'm gonna breathe in through our nose for a count of four and out through your nose for a count of six.
Slowing your breath,
Having a longer exhale than inhale,
Allows your body and your subconscious to know that you are safe.
Noticing if you're holding any tension or tightness in your body and if you can just soften that area.
Bringing more calmness into your body with every breath and with each exhale allowing yourself to release more stress,
To release any tension and with each inhale calling in more peace,
More comfort and more calmness into your body.
Starting to breathe into your heart space,
Focus on the center of your chest,
Bringing more energy,
More calmness to this area.
Starting to give it more life,
Giving more life to the very center that gives you life.
Taking another deep breath,
The deepest you have all day.
I want you to imagine going somewhere that is so calming,
So peaceful and so safe.
Start to notice what it looks like all around you,
The shades of color.
Start to notice the temperature.
Is it warm?
Cool?
Is there a breeze?
Does the area have any scent,
Any smell that you can identify?
And now start to explore this space a little further.
Is there anything you can feel or touch?
Now start to look at your own body,
How it's feeling.
How relaxed your head and face is.
How soft your neck and shoulders feel.
How relaxed your arms are.
Noticing your chest and upper back.
Noticing your belly and your lower back.
Noticing how relaxed your hips and glutes are.
Noticing your thighs,
Your calves and your feet.
Breathing deeply into your heart space.
Noticing everything around you.
Knowing this feeling of calmness,
Of relaxation is always within you.
You are safe,
You are loved,
Exactly as you are.
When you're ready,
Coming back into your body,
Into this space,
Into this environment.
Taking a moment,
Starting to move your fingers and toes,
Rolling your neck,
Before slowly opening your eyes.
Knowing that you are able to reach this level of calmness and peace at any time.
Just like a happy place,
Your calm place is available to you.
I hope you have a wonderful day.
