Hello,
Welcome.
Today's meditation is all around finding calm through the highs and lows of life.
So get comfortable,
Take a seat and take a deep breath in.
Feeling your belly and with your exhale feeling any stress of your day release.
With your inhale bringing in so much new energy and with your exhale finding calmness just as you are.
Today we're going to focus on our anxieties and also all of our hopes and dreams.
So first of all think about something that you want,
Think about something that you have dreamt of,
That you are capable of.
Now I want you to dive deeply into all the fears that come up around having that.
Maybe you fear being seen,
You fear the risk,
Whatever it is sit with that and start to notice where in your body you are feeling it.
Where is the energy held?
I want you to just take a few deep breaths,
Focus on lengthening your exhale,
Still staying aware of this feeling.
Now I want you to think about these questions and you can answer them out loud or just in your mind,
Whatever you would prefer.
But staying aware of that sensation,
Focusing on lengthening your breath,
Knowing you're safe,
You are calm and you are in control.
You can stop at any stage.
Firstly where is this sensation in your body?
Does it have a color?
Does it have a shape or a texture?
Is it a heavy feeling or light?
Is it inside your body or outside your body?
If this sensation had a sound what would it be?
Is the sensation moving at all since you first started to notice it?
Has it changed in any way?
Now I want you to ask does this sensation have an emotion?
Is there any time that you can remember feeling this sensation before?
If so what was it?
Now most importantly I want you to ask are you safe to feel this?
You are feeling it currently and you are safe.
Now start to notice are you accepting of this feeling?
Are you clinging to it or trying to push it away at all?
Now I want you to take a deep cleansing breath,
Really sighing on your exhale,
Allowing your energy to shift.
Shaking out your hands if you feel cold too.
Now I want you to think of that dream again and think of the absolute best possible situation that could happen.
Maybe it's that all of your dreams come true,
You get the recognition that you have craved,
The abundance flows to you with ease,
That everything is better and simpler than you thought it could possibly be.
And again start to notice how it feels in your body.
Focus on the most prominent sensation in your body right now and just sit with it.
Breathe into it.
Now again saying either out loud or in your mind,
Answer the following questions.
What is the most prominent sensation in your body right now?
In your mind,
Answer the following questions.
Where in your body is this sensation?
Does the feeling have a color?
Does it have a shape or texture?
Does the feeling seem inside or outside of your body?
Or is it both?
Does it have a size or a weight with it?
If this feeling could make any sound,
What would it be?
Has it moved or changed at all since you first started to notice it?
Now I want you to think,
Is there an emotion or a label for this sensation?
Have you felt this sensation before?
If so,
When was it?
Are you safe to feel this sensation?
Now notice,
Are you accepting of this feeling?
Are you clinging to it or trying to push it away?
Now take a deep breath,
Exhale completely and try and clear your mind,
Focusing entirely on your breath,
Coming back to your resting state.
Notice that you are safe to feel the highs,
That you are safe to feel the lows,
That nothing is too overwhelming for you,
That you can handle and hold everything.
Remember you can come back to this practice or ask yourself these questions at any stage.
Getting to be really comfortable with what's happening in your body is really important to be able to come back to center.
To close this practice today,
Let's take one final deep breath together,
Breathing in through your nose and out through your mouth.
