Hello,
Lovable being.
And welcome to this video about our favorite topic.
80s deep brains.
Today we are going to look at something that actually happens to each and every one of us,
As in each and every human in the world.
But a little bit more.
To ADHD minds,
Which is reacting versus responding.
So let's take an example.
Have you ever sent a text and regretted it immediately?
Or set something.
Impossibly and then being like why did I just say that?
Why did I do that?
That is exactly what a reaction is.
Reaction reacting is emotional whereas a response Responding.
Is rational or,
Let's say,
Intentional.
The difference between them is that there is a choice.
Reaction is automatic.
You do it like BAM!
It's just how you will react.
Your emotions completely take over and lead your brain as most of the time if you have an ADHD mind.
Whereas when you're responding.
You take a little time.
To like.
Check your emotions.
And then you choose what to do with them.
It's not that you suppress your emotions,
It's that you actually look at them.
Identify them and then choose.
What you're going to do with them.
So the difference between reacting and responding is that there is a choice with a response.
I would like to give you a little tool next time that you will feel better.
Strong emotion.
And that you have an urge to react.
Try and like.
Take a break.
So you will actually.
.
.
Put a brake on your emotional brain.
Take perspective.
So I want you to take two.
Big long inhale.
Two big breaths.
Will give you a little perspective.
To make your choice.
Your choice could still be to.
.
.
I don't know,
Explode on someone,
But at least it'll be your choice.
It'll be something you will do intentionally versus something automatic.
I hope that this video helped you.
And I invite you if you feel like discovering more about this.
Topic that is so dear to our hearts and dear to our healthy living to check a bit at my other videos about the subject.
And there is also a course that you can take if you want and some more mindfulness tips.

I wish you a beautiful way back to your ADHD day.
Bye-bye.
