Hello you lovable being and welcome to this very special edition of Doses of Joy.
Today we're going to dig into A topic that is dear,
Dear and so intense to my heart.
ADHD.
So if you have ADHD or if you live with an ADHD person,
These might ring a bell.
If you are ready!
Let's begin!
You're first going to try and find a comfortable position.
Position that will allow you to focus on my voice.
This is the only thing you have to do.
Today.
For now.
Now take a deep breath in.
And exhale slowly with your mouth.
I love spotting the other ADHD people in the room.
Hello!
We recognize each other.
I love peeking the fastest cubes.
I love listening to the same song on repeat.
Again.
And again.
And again.
And maybe one more time.
A passion is a passion,
You know?
I love remembering where I'm parked on the first try.
Not very often.
And it's extremely satisfying.
I love finding a new obsession.
This new obsession that's gonna keep me hyper-focused for the coming days,
Maybe even weeks,
Who knows?
I love slipping right through the subway doors just before they close.
I love finding my phone,
My keys,
My glasses,
Within,
Let's say,
A minute.
I love the moment I remember why I walked into that room.
I love when this extreme pile of clothing disappears of my room.
I love arriving actually exactly at the time I'm expected.
I love finally finding that word I was looking for.
I laugh when I remember the movie I watched last night.
I love finally peeing after holding it for all these hours.
That also goes for eating,
By the way.
I love coming back home when I bought everything I actually came into that shop for.
I love completing my to-do list of the day.
I love being perfectly in sync,
That is to say not two exercises behind,
During my workout class.
I love ending the day with battery left on my phone.
I love catching my train against all odds.
I love managing to not take something personally.
I absolutely love talking to another ADHD person and feeling completely understood.
And exactly where I belong.
I love to interrupt them.
I love to finish their sentence.
I love to go all over the place while discussing one topic that turns into 12 topics that turns into the best discussion and alignment I've ever had.
And I'll leave you on that one.
My dear ADHD peers.
If you have other things that you love into the ADHD world,
Please.
.
.
Share them in the comments.
And I may compile them into a new edition of our Doses of Joy special ADHD book.
I wish you a beautiful way back to your ADHD life!
