Hello and welcome to the Gratitude Breakfast Club,

A quick morning meetup to help you jumpstart or maintain your gratitude practice.

We'll make it quick because we know you have things to do on this beautiful day.

Good morning beautiful ones and welcome back to the Gratitude Breakfast Club.

Yesterday we took a moment to be thankful for happy dance food and since we're already dancing let's take a moment today to be thankful for our bodies and the movement and exercise we get to enjoy.

Especially this time of year when some folks may be falling off their New Year's resolutions,

Please allow me to remind you the little bit of exercise that you are doing is better than the whole lot of exercise that you're not doing.

Meaning,

Take a moment to celebrate the teeny-tiniest of exercise wins.

You planned on biking 20 miles this week but only got a walk down the stairs in?

Please take a moment to appreciate that.

That three-mile run turned into three minutes on the yoga mat?

Please be glad you hit the mat.

Not only will you feel better but by appreciating what you are doing you're more likely to get back to what you'd like to be doing.

I recently saw a quote by the artist Banksy which moved my heart deeply and was an instant game changer.

He said,

If you get tired learn to rest not to quit.

Exercise will look different for each of us of course as we navigate our lives in variously abled bodies.

So I ask you,

What is your body capable of doing that you appreciate?

When was the last time you did that activity and what did you appreciate about how it made you feel?

If only for today,

Set the guilt aside as you answer these questions for yourself.

With love,

Appreciation,

And gratitude this is Karen.
