Hey,
Everyone.
We are back with our second episode.
Hello.
Happy birthday,
Graeme.
It's Graeme's birthday today.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Forty-five.
Forty-five.
That's a good age.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Number nine.
Oh.
Four plus five.
It's the most spiritual number,
Right?
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Anyway,
We've got the nine month and my birth year adds up to nine as well.
And we have a year number nine,
2024.
Five.
2025.
This is 2025,
Right?
We're not doing a podcast.
Wow.
That is pretty cool.
Lots of nines.
That is really,
Really cool.
And so that's so fitting,
Actually,
That you're doing this podcast now,
Which is all about spirituality and,
Like,
Putting it into practice and how to,
Like,
Yeah,
Live with it and use it in your daily life and stuff.
Yes.
Yeah.
Wow.
Yes.
Yes.
Yes.
It's all kind of meant to be,
Right?
It's kind of just happened just at the right time.
It's aligned at the moment,
Isn't it?
Yeah.
Although I was,
I mean,
This is probably another podcast,
But I'm a bit late to the party as it were.
I was supposed to be doing this a lot sooner than I was.
Oh,
Really?
Yeah.
And that's what caused a lot of the chronic fatigue.
Right.
Because my energy was getting used.
It wasn't in alignment.
It wasn't in alignment with my soul's path.
Right.
So basically,
I had a lot of energy banging about in my body,
Nowhere to go.
Yeah.
Yeah.
So,
Yeah,
So I had a lot of unutilized energy because it was getting used for the wrong things,
Basically.
Yeah.
Yeah.
That makes so much sense.
Do you think that was like part of your journey,
Though?
It kind of had to be that way,
And you're actually still,
Like,
You're right on time.
You know what I mean?
Possibly.
Do you know,
I missed the signs.
Yeah.
Quite a lot of time.
I mean,
I started,
I mean,
The fatigue and chronic fatigue and symptoms kind of started when I was in my 30s,
Early 30s.
And that was,
I know from my experience with,
When I went to get my soul records read,
It was meant to start,
It kicked in around about my 30s.
And that's when my symptoms started,
When I say it kicked in,
My actual soul's purpose,
The reason I'm here,
The real reason that my soul came here,
Kicked in when I was in my early 30s.
So symptoms started,
And I kind of started,
You know,
Shredding away the layers,
Old traumas,
All these kind of things.
But I kind of fell back into the trap of chasing material things.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Instead of just being,
Instead of being authentic to myself,
In line with myself.
Yeah.
And what was true to me,
I was chasing the material things.
So you get caught up in,
What about the money?
What about this?
What about this?
What about that?
And all the rest of it.
Looking after family.
And it was all the external things that were coming first.
But really,
It had to all come from inside me.
Right.
And then- I just,
I want to add something to that.
And that might be controversial for some people.
I like this.
But just because something is material,
Or it's like material things are part of you,
It doesn't mean it's not spiritual.
Right.
It can be very spiritual,
Like to want to make a lot of money,
Or looking after your family.
I think the thing that puts you out of alignment,
And you actually said it,
Is the chasing part.
Yeah.
So the key is to do it in an aligned way,
And not like hustling and all of that stuff.
Right?
Right.
Exactly.
Trying to make it happen.
Make it happen.
I don't like the thing,
Oh,
Like the material stuff is not spiritual,
Because I don't think that's true.
I think our whole experience on Earth can be deeply spiritual.
And it involves having those material things,
Because we need them to survive.
And also,
They can be really important for your spiritual goals.
Like,
If you want to have a big impact in the world,
You need some resources.
Well,
That's it.
There's just no getting away from that.
You need money to have a house and somewhere to live.
Yeah,
Exactly.
It's just how the world works at this stage.
Especially in the Western world,
Right?
Yeah,
Yeah.
But even like,
You know,
Even if you would live in a society that wouldn't have any money,
Let's say,
Yeah,
You'd still need resources to live.
Like,
You need wood or some kind of material to build a shelter.
Like,
You need this stuff to exist in this world.
So,
Yeah.
So basically,
I think material things are here to actually support our spiritual journey.
Do you know what the thing is?
It's what we value the most,
Though.
Do you know what I mean?
It's that kind of level of importance.
What I'm finding is that you can't kid the universe,
Right?
You can't kid the light.
So,
You know,
Someone may talk a good game,
Do lots of spiritual practices,
Meditations,
Affirmations,
All these kind of things.
But if the real intention inside is,
I've got to chase the money,
I've got to do this,
I've got to do that.
Then the vibration is off.
The energy is off.
It's not aligned with the source.
Yes.
And you can be fully aligned and very spiritual without ever saying a single affirmation.
Yes.
Yes.
Yes.
Exactly.
It's all about,
Like,
How you're inside.
And is that in alignment?
Like,
Is that the true you?
Do you have all those patterns running?
It's like,
Oh,
I need to chase this goal,
I need this,
I need that.
Or is it actually a true authentic you?
Well,
That's the thing.
It's kind of driving the game,
Right?
That's it.
And we did an exercise just before we came on.
We started the podcast,
Right?
And you can actually feel the energy coming down.
I mean,
You can almost imagine energy coming down from above.
Yeah.
Right down the spine.
And it's just aligning yourself up with that.
That's the energy.
It's almost invisible.
It is invisible energy.
It's very much felt energy.
We feel things.
Yeah.
And once you tune into that,
That energy,
Then it just,
That's the quantum,
The realm of possibilities.
That's the word.
The realm of possibilities.
That's what you're tapping into.
That's like a different timeline,
A different way of being.
You know,
It's almost like,
You can always imagine like a wave,
Like a kind of wave of energy,
Right?
Going up and down,
Going up and down.
And quite a lot of us would be maybe down in that bottom wave,
Right?
Yeah,
Yeah.
The higher wave is where we're trying to get to.
Yeah,
Because first of all,
It feels good.
Yeah.
Yeah.
And second of all,
This is our true,
Like,
Essence.
Vibration.
Because our soul is a part of that energy,
Right?
It's like an expression of that energy.
So that's our true,
Divine,
Authentic essence.
But the thing is,
We will still go up and down and up and down.
And there's a reason for that also,
I think.
I don't think you can always be up.
I mean,
Maybe you can.
I don't know.
I haven't experienced it.
Well,
That's… I've certainly tried.
Well,
Yeah.
Why not?
Why not?
But it's the down bits that are the catalyst for change.
It's the down bits where you're like,
I'm so fed up with this.
I don't want this anymore.
Like,
The realness of life,
Right?
Yeah,
Yeah,
Yeah.
In this realm,
In the 3D.
Like,
I'm going to change this.
This is where you make a decision.
This is where you kind of… Those are the moments when you change your life,
Right?
When you suddenly… When you don't accept it anymore and you make a different decision.
Yes.
And then you can go up again.
And then when you have the next challenge or obstacle to work on,
You know,
You might feel like you're down again.
And then when you… As you work through it,
You feel the upwards movement again.
So,
Again,
I don't… I don't feel like… Well,
I don't want to use the word should because,
You know,
Great conditions.
But I don't feel there's any value in kind of putting this,
Oh,
You know,
You always want to try and be up or,
Like,
This is where you're supposed to be.
Because I don't think that's true.
I think we're supposed to be up and down.
And it's all about how we work through it and how we hold ourselves.
In both situations,
By the way,
When you're down and when you're up.
So,
Do you reckon that maybe our emotions drive that up and down phase?
Oh,
Yeah.
Yeah,
Massively.
Yeah,
Yeah,
Yeah.
So,
Your emotions are actually… They give you all the clues.
Like when you feel off,
When you don't feel good.
And this takes us back to the courage part we talked about last time,
Right?
Yeah.
And you have the courage to ask,
Why do I feel this way?
What makes me feel this way?
You get to the bottom of things.
And then you can work through it.
So,
Your emotions are always like the breadcrumbs,
The keys.
If you really pay attention.
So,
Rather than drowning them out,
Because that's basically just putting your blinders on.
And you don't see.
You just move forward with blinders on.
You have no idea where you're going.
It's like,
I'm not feeling any of this.
I don't want this.
But if you actually accept the emotion and be like,
Whoa,
Why does this make me feel so angry?
Like,
What is there?
And then things start to come up.
And then it's like,
Oh,
This is a situation from my childhood.
That I completely forgot about.
This is when I was so angry last time.
So,
And then you notice there's something for you to heal there.
And when you heal it,
You don't even have to put in an effort.
Because you don't have that emotion in that situation anymore.
I mean,
I love that phrase as well.
The breadcrumbs.
Your emotions as the bread.
I love that phrase.
Absolutely.
You should trademark that one.
That's a good one.
It is true,
Though,
Isn't it?
It is the catalyst for a different realm.
For going in for a different timeline,
Different possibilities.
A different way of being.
A different life.
Yeah,
Exactly.
Actually,
Let me elaborate on the timeline thing.
Because we've mentioned it a few times now.
So,
There is always like a multitude of different timelines available for you.
Right?
And based on how you behave,
What you choose,
What you put up with,
What you decide.
It's always about your decisions,
Usually.
This is the timeline you're going to be on.
So,
If you feel triggered and angry and stuff.
And you just push it down and don't deal with it.
You're going to stay on the timeline where you will feel triggered and angry.
Whenever a similar situation arises and you get triggered by that.
If you ask questions like,
Why am I so angry?
What is going on?
You know,
You just take the first step.
You automatically shift on a timeline where you start to question your emotions.
And be like,
What is going on there?
When you choose to actually heal that trigger and really work on it.
And you've healed it.
You shift to a timeline where you don't have the trigger anymore.
You know?
So,
With every choice you take in a process,
You're jumping to a different timeline.
We jump timelines all the time based on our decisions and stuff.
And that timeline can get you to different outcomes.
I mean,
Obviously,
They're always split up and there's so many available.
Right?
Right.
Okay.
But if you decide,
Well,
Actually,
If you decide not to do anything about it.
And you stay on the timeline where you carry the trigger until the end.
There might not be certain opportunities available for you in the timeline.
Because you're still in that old self that carries all that burden and stuff.
If you choose to heal it,
Automatically,
You shift to a timeline where you have different and new opportunities available that are a match to your lighter self.
To your kind of energy field where you don't have the trigger.
So,
Do you reckon that's where people get stuck quite a lot of the time?
Where it can feel like they're going around in circles.
Where there's just repeating emotions.
It's reacting to the emotion.
Yeah.
Rather than experiencing the emotion.
And allowing the emotion to kind of wash on by.
Or wash through us.
People.
I say people.
Including myself.
Most of us kind of jump into the emotion.
Right?
We become the emotion itself.
You allow it to take over.
Yes.
Yeah.
Yeah.
And because you learn to do that at a certain point in your life.
Quite often in childhood.
It just becomes a natural way of being.
And then you're surrounded by people.
Most people that do the same thing.
So,
Therefore,
It's just this continuous cycle of jumping into emotions.
And you're just in that continuous loop over and over and over again.
Yes.
And it then takes the courage to jump out of that.
Yeah.
Take a step back and actually observe the emotion.
Right.
So,
It's still important to feel it.
But the key is to not take it personally.
Yeah.
Yes.
Not take it personally.
Oh,
Wow.
How big a topic is that?
Not take it personally.
Yeah.
Because,
I mean,
We all do.
I mean,
I certainly recognize that.
Taking things personally.
Most of us take things personally.
And that's the thing.
Because it feels like.
Maybe I mentioned it last week.
It feels like it's being punished.
Yeah.
Yeah.
And then you get into victim mode.
And,
Like,
You feel all this rage.
Because it's unfair.
Yeah.
And you turn back into,
Like,
A four-year-old.
Right?
By the way,
Great time when we were four-year-old.
It was great.
It was great.
There was no school.
There was no bills to pay.
It was just fun.
What am I going to do today?
Oh,
I'm going to go outside and play.
Yeah.
And at the same time.
Well,
Maybe not at four.
But at,
Like,
Five,
Six.
All they want to do is,
Like,
Grow up.
So they can do all the things they want to do.
Isn't that ironic?
It's like,
Oh,
I can't wait till I grow up when I have this,
That.
Like,
No.
No.
Stay four.
Stay four.
Stay four.
Because four is great age.
You know?
I mean,
There's more of a sense of freedom,
I would imagine,
Then.
You know?
You know less about the world.
Less is more.
The less you know,
I find.
The less you know about the world,
The more you know.
If you can hear what I'm saying.
The more you are aware of the world.
Exactly.
Yeah,
That's where I wanted to get to,
Actually.
Because you know less about the conditions and roles and societal stuff and blah.
But you actually know more about what actually matters.
Kids have so much wisdom in them.
Do you know what?
I've got another story.
I've got another Ben story.
Go ahead.
Go ahead.
He loved it last week because he got a mention.
Ben,
You're getting it.
So he just got to the part where he got a mention and then he stopped listening after that.
He's going to get another mention.
What about me?
But he was,
Again,
He's a brilliant teacher.
He's a brilliant teacher.
He's been such a teacher for me in my journey.
So he has a little habit at the minute,
And he's probably going to have words with me afterwards when I mention this,
Of when he has something to eat,
He takes it through to the couch in the living room and he leaves it lying,
Right?
I'm quite sure he's not the only one,
Right?
He's not the only one.
We all do it as well.
But anyway,
I'm trying to kind of teach him of looking after his own property and looking after himself rather than allowing others to look after him,
Right?
So he has this thing.
So he left it on the couch,
And I've said to him quite a few times,
And then later on at night,
And I said to him,
Ben,
I said,
Look,
I've said to you several times about lifting up your dessert,
Your things that you eat,
And put them away.
I said,
Are we going to have to reduce your pocket money in order for you to get the message,
Right?
And you know,
He turned around to me,
And it just got me.
It just got me.
And he went,
I don't care about money.
All I care about is love.
My goodness.
Like,
What a line of this.
For no part of it were you dead.
I was like,
Oh.
It was just,
I mean,
The power behind that,
It was just incredible.
From coming from this little thing lying in his bed at night,
It was just such a one line,
You know,
Like I talked about,
It said,
Less is more.
It was just,
There was very few words.
It was just like,
Whoa.
I got the message loud and clear.
Like,
Loud and clear.
He wants me to teach him,
You know,
He wants him to feel love.
He doesn't want me to punish him through money.
He's basically saying,
Look,
Take all my money.
I don't care.
Just love me.
You know,
Just show me love.
And I thought,
Oh,
It's just,
He's an absolute cracker.
Wow.
Wow.
That's my Ben story this week.
Wow.
That's really beautiful.
That brings me,
Actually,
I don't know if that's a bit off topic,
Because,
Well,
Actually it might not be,
Because our topic today,
We actually haven't mentioned it.
Oh,
Yes.
Tunis.
We're halfway through the podcast.
From the last episode.
And it's all about,
Like,
Living in alignment with your authentic self.
Like,
Yeah,
Living in alignment and in authenticity.
And so one of the things I've learned on my journey is,
And I heard that actually different,
I heard it from different people saying that,
And it's always been true for me.
So basically never make any decisions out of fear.
Always make them out of love.
And I feel that ties into,
Like,
Our parenting and how we're trying,
Because obviously we're trying to teach our kids good habits and stuff,
Right?
Because it's just not nice if you have cake crumbs all over the couch and stuff.
It's just pain to clean.
Oh,
Yes.
No,
But rather than,
And,
You know,
I'm guilty of that.
Like,
I'm not saying I'm the exception here,
But rather than saying,
Oh,
You know,
If you don't do that,
Then this and this will happen.
If you come from a perspective of love and be like,
Look,
It's just not very nice for other family members to sit on,
Like,
The cake crumbs and stuff.
And,
You know,
We are family.
We're all looking after this house and our environment.
We all want to feel good here,
And we don't want a smelly couch.
So basically coming from a place of love,
That it's kind of,
We're looking after each other and we're looking after our environment and we love our house.
Well,
That's a bit of respect in ourselves,
Isn't it?
Yeah,
It's about respect,
Yeah.
Respect in our home.
We were talking before,
Well,
Not on the podcast,
But before we came on here,
The integrity,
Right?
Yeah.
One of our integrities is our resources.
And our home is one of our resources that we have.
Yeah.
And again,
It's,
We talk about everything,
Everyone being connected,
Everything.
Everything that we have,
Everything that we possess is all connected and it's all seen,
You know?
It's all seen.
It's not to say that there's a pressure of being perfect,
But I think there's just,
There's a way of,
There's a way of,
The way you're treating your home,
The way of treating your people,
It just reflects in everything else in your entire life,
Doesn't it?
Yes,
Yeah,
Yeah.
How you then become,
You're setting your values.
You're setting your values,
That's important,
You know?
Not as in what we value in life,
But it's your own internal values.
It's like,
This is what I believe in.
This is what,
You know?
Yeah.
Treat people right.
Treat myself right.
Treat things that I own right.
Treat things well.
Yeah.
It just sets the tone,
Really.
Yeah.
It sets the tone for the day.
It sets the tone for the family.
It sets the tone for everything.
Mm-hmm.
Yeah,
I agree,
Yeah.
And it's all about love and respect,
Isn't it?
Aye.
It is.
It is.
The word love,
I mean,
There's so many different strands,
And there are different strands to it,
But it just,
You know,
It doesn't have to be like,
It doesn't have to be sitting hugging each other all day,
Which is- No,
No,
It doesn't.
I mean,
You can do.
Which is a very nice feeling,
By the way.
Yeah,
You can do.
It's a very nice feeling.
It's a very nice feeling.
But it just means,
You know,
As I said,
Integrity.
It's just,
It starts with integrity.
That's self-love,
Right?
Yeah.
Self-care,
Self-love.
And as I say,
It all kind of starts with our own integrity.
And it actually starts with how we're treating ourselves.
It always starts with you,
You know.
If you can't treat yourself with love and respect,
It's going to be very hard to treat,
Like,
The world with love and respect,
Right?
It starts within.
And,
Sorry,
I forgot where I was going with this.
Oh,
Right.
That's okay.
I'll come back to you.
Yeah,
You might,
You might,
You might.
So,
If living in alignment means,
Like,
Living in integrity with your values,
And loving and respecting yourself,
And loving and respecting the world around you,
How do you think we actually get out of alignment in the first place?
Wow.
That's a question.
There could be many strands to that.
Yeah.
There can be many,
Many strands.
We talked last week about,
You know,
How our conditioning is one of the things,
How we're conditioned in the home,
How we're conditioned in a social aspect,
Our social interactions with friends.
Yeah.
People we speak to on a daily basis.
I think that's the most important starting point.
And then,
Once we're in that,
Then it becomes more about the chase afterwards.
Staying out of alignment,
As it were,
How we get out of alignment in the first place is probably more conditioning.
How we stay out of alignment is because of our,
We then become,
We chase things.
Yeah.
We chase love.
We look externally for things.
Right,
And it's just embodying.
Yeah,
We believe that the solution is,
Well,
If I just had more money,
I'd feel a whole lot happier.
Or if I just found my soul mate,
I'd be more complete.
Or if I just had a better car or a better home.
Yeah.
And so on and so forth.
It's always something else or someone else.
Yeah.
So,
Basically,
We give our power away by saying,
Oh,
I'll be happy once I have those outside circumstances.
When,
In fact,
It's the other way around.
You feel happy and complete,
And then the world around you will feel happy and complete,
And you will get the things you're an energetic match to.
Have you ever heard people say to you,
You make me feel.
Yeah,
Yeah.
But it's a complete lie.
It's a lie.
No,
Like,
Stop giving me the power.
And also,
It's your emotions.
You can only make yourself feel a certain way.
And true,
It's driven by patterns and stuff.
You're carrying unhealed things from your past,
From past lives,
Et cetera.
The other person is just serving.
It's actually they're doing a massive favor.
The other person is serving.
So,
You can get triggered,
And you notice there's something for you to heal here.
And actually,
I think that ties into alignment as well,
Because I think we get out of alignment also.
So,
You know,
We come already when we're born,
We're bringing patterns and stuff,
Which we have chosen,
Our soul has chosen to work on and release in this life and kind of grow from,
Right?
And so,
Yeah,
There will be situations where you get,
Like,
Pissed off,
Where you get angry,
Where you turn into rage,
You know.
And that doesn't bring you out of alignment.
That's just emotion.
That's just the trigger.
Yes.
The trigger doesn't bring you out of alignment.
What brings you out of alignment is you choosing not to act on it,
Is you choosing to make other people wrong for it,
Is you choosing that this is unfair.
This is what brings you out of alignment.
It's always your choice.
If you own the trigger and be like,
Dang,
That was intense.
I wonder what that's causing it.
You're getting back into alignment because you're asking the questions to work through it.
Yeah.
And asking those questions and working through it is in alignment.
I have a question for you,
Iris.
Yeah.
Do you like to create things?
To create?
I love to create things,
Yeah.
Yes.
Now,
I think that's the kind of thing that I've noticed as well,
Is that as I went through my journey,
The realms of creativity,
As I've shredded more and more of the fear that I was,
Basically kept me in a cocoon,
Right?
The more and more creative that you start to become,
I start to become.
The more creativity,
The more possibilities.
Oh,
I can do this.
Oh,
I can do that.
You know,
Ideas can come to you that were never there before.
They never really seemed possible.
Maybe it's a limiting belief thing.
That's a different podcast.
We're going to do one on limiting beliefs.
But yeah,
Everything seems possible rather than,
Oh,
I don't want to do that in case X happens.
Oh,
I better not do that in case that happens.
Or,
Oh,
The last time that I did that,
Something bad happens.
The truth is,
Fear is an illusion.
Yeah.
Yeah,
It's an illusion to us all because nothing bad will happen.
Or it might,
But it's out of your control anyway.
Is that the definition we put upon it?
It's like it's a connection,
Right?
Because you can't tell for sure what's going to happen.
Nobody can actually predict the future.
Even people who see visions and stuff of the future is tied to a specific timeline.
So if you're on a different timeline,
Well,
Guess what?
It's not going to happen.
Exactly,
Yeah.
So nobody knows really what's going to happen.
And that's part of the magic as well,
Is to trust in the unfolding.
But sometimes the brain believes.
Exactly.
But the brain creates a connection.
It's like,
Oh my goodness,
If I'm putting myself out there,
If I'm recording the podcast and just share it unconditionally,
This and this and this is going to happen,
Which is a lie because you don't know actually.
You don't know.
Which again brings us back to the thing never make decisions out of fear.
So the decision not to put yourself out there because of fear is not going to be in alignment.
It is not in your highest good.
If you make the decision out of love,
Then it's more likely to be in alignment.
Exactly.
Probably will be in alignment,
Yeah.
If you're being authentic and honest about it.
Yeah,
Well,
That's the thing.
Do you know,
It was interesting last week,
After we did the podcast,
I started to get,
I mentioned after we came off,
I mentioned there was one or two songs that started to come through.
Yeah,
Yeah,
Yeah,
Yeah.
And there was one of them actually that came back to me and it was one that used to come up quite a lot right at the start of my healing process.
So again,
Going back to my 30s,
Early 30s.
And it was,
You'll be able to tell what song it is.
And it was called Running by Naughty Boy.
And do you know the other one?
I don't think so.
I might want to hear it.
So have a look up.
So if anybody listened to this or anybody is watching this on YouTube,
Then have a listen to that,
To the words.
Have a listen to the song,
Running.
It's called Running.
And one of the lines was running,
Running,
Running.
I'm running from myself no more.
And I face it all.
I face it all.
And I was like,
Oh,
Wow.
It was almost like my higher self,
My soul was trying to speak to me in a way through a different realm.
Yeah.
Yeah.
