In this video I give you a simple explanation of how EFT — Emotional Freedom Techniques, or tapping — actually works and why it's so powerful. We'll look at what's happening in your body and brain when you tap, and why it can create such rapid, lasting change. If you've been curious about EFT and want to understand it before you dive in, this is the place to start.

Hi,

I'm Freya.

I'm a trauma-informed certified clinical EFT practitioner,

And I specialize in quantum EFT and inner child work.

I'd love to give you a brief explanation of what EFT is.

It's a simple technique where you tap with your fingertips on specific points on your face and body while tuning into whatever's bothering you,

Whether it's emotional,

Physical,

Or both.

Think of it as a combination of exposure therapy and acupuncture,

Without the needles.

When you tap,

It sends an electrical signal throughout the fascia,

The connective tissue that runs throughout your entire body.

Your body is like a supercomputer and pain,

Emotions,

Trauma,

These are all energies stored within it.

That signal travels like lightning through your whole system,

Accessing everything that's stored,

And bringing it to the brain,

Both the primitive parts where your survival responses and long-term memories live,

And the rational thinking mind.

And here's what makes EFT so powerful.

As you tap.

Your present with whatever it is that you're feeling,

The memories,

Emotions,

Feelings.

And at the same time,

The tapping signal is sending a calming signal to the brain.

That's telling the brain it's safe to relax and let go.

And that's the key.

Because you're consciously aware of what's happening throughout.

This isn't just a release.

You start to see things differently.

You gain a new understanding.

You're literally transmuting the experience,

Connecting your conscious mind with your body.

And that's where real,

Lasting change happens.

There are hundreds of peer-reviewed articles.

On EFT,

Showing its efficacy in cortisol and adrenaline reducing fast.

Reduced pain and cravings.

So much more.

That's a big deal.

Even 10 or 15 minutes can bring a significant shift.

You don't need any equipment.

You don't need to be good at anything.

Just your hands and a willingness to check in with yourself.
