Let's prepare to meditate.
Adjust your body so that you are comfortable.
Close your eyes.
Rest your hands in any way that is comfortable for you.
Take a nice filling breath in.
Breathe deeply in through your nose and breathe out slowly through your mouth.
Do this again.
Now when you exhale,
Breathe out with a long sigh.
Continue this breathing a few more times to relax your mind and body.
You are ready to begin.
Our bodies are like machines.
We need to maintain them properly so that they can work their best.
Keeping our bodies healthy makes us stronger,
Faster,
Smarter,
And happier.
Today we will visualize the things our bodies need to stay healthy and work efficiently.
Picture yourself as a robot.
This you robot is lying on a work table in front of you.
There are gears,
Buttons,
Blinking lights,
And a computer screen on your chest.
Imagine how you would look as a robot in this way.
Let's get this you robot working as strong,
Fast,
Smart,
And as happy as possible.
The first thing our body machine needs is lots of water.
Find the cap on the you robot.
Open it and add lots of water.
Our bodies need lots of water.
In the belly of the you robot,
There is a blender.
Add three vegetables,
Each of a different color,
To the belly blender.
Our bodies need lots of vegetables to be healthy.
Think now of three of your favorite fruits to add to the belly blender.
Put them in one at a time and blend them up.
Which three fruits are your favorite?
Think of your favorite outdoor activities to do.
Now,
Use the computer screen on the chest to program your you robot to try these things.
The outdoors is good for our health and our happiness.
Use the computer screen again for one last program.
Just like you,
Your robot needs to recharge and sleep.
Create a long and comfortable sleep program for your robot.
Sleep is very important for us as well.
Use the computer screen now to type in a loving-kindness program so that your you robot will be caring and be kind.
Love and kindness is important for our bodies as well.
Turn on your you robot,
Greet them with a smile,
And fill them in on all of your favorite parts about being you.
As our meditation comes to a close,
Draw your attention back to your real body.
Notice and feel where your body is touching the floor or chair.
Wiggle your fingers,
Wiggle your toes.
Take a deep breath.
Now go ahead and stretch out your body in any way that feels good to you.
When you're ready,
Open your eyes.
Now go out and find all that's good in your day.
