Meditation is like running and sometimes we run a marathon,
Other times we sprint.
Hi,
My name is Diane and today we're going to sprint.
I'm going to teach you tactical breath.
It's a meditation technique where you reset your nervous system in one breath.
Let's get started.
Take a very deep breath in through your nose.
Fill your lungs completely and when you get to the top of the inhale,
Pause for an extra moment.
Take an extra sip of air and then another and then another.
Pause,
Relax your shoulders and then exhale.
Letting everything release,
Letting your shoulders relax and melt down your back.
And notice how you feel.
That's a tactical breath.
Let's do it again.
You don't have to do the extra sips of breath,
So we'll try once without it and then we'll go once again with.
So we'll do two more tactical breaths so you can get the rhythm.
You can do this any time of the day,
Anywhere,
Before a meeting,
Before you eat lunch,
Before going to sleep,
After a difficult conversation,
After going to the dentist,
After eating a big piece of cake.
Whatever's on your mind,
Let it be.
Don't worry,
You don't have to push it away or examine it.
Connect to your breath and take a deep breath in through the nose.
Fill your lungs completely.
Feel your stomach expanding,
The lungs expanding.
When you get to the top of the inhale,
Pause and then exhale.
Maybe you want to do that again.
Take a deep breath in through the nose.
Fill your lungs completely and then exhale.
You don't have to make as much noise as I did.
That was two tactical breaths and now we'll do the one with a couple of sips,
Just to get everything squared away.
Take a deep breath in through the nose.
When you get to the top of your inhale,
Pause and then take an extra sip of breath in and then another and relax your shoulders,
Relax your face and another and then exhale.
Feel everything just melting away.
That is a tactical breath.
I hope you use it and if you do,
Please leave a comment in the reviews.
Thanks!
