I had two surgeries in 2024 and used meditation to help in my recovery. The science is showing that slow breathing can help to reduce inflammation and lower inflammation has positive effects on your body. The goal of this seven-minute meditation is to slow your breath and help you visualize healing white light and energy.

Hi,

Thank you for meditating with me today.

A few years ago I had a couple of surgeries to address a health issue.

I used meditation because I know that slow breathing reduces inflammation and lower inflammation helps your body to heal faster.

So today we're going to do just that.

We're going to breathe very slowly.

I will help you set the rhythm,

Then I will let you go and I will do a little visualization exercise with you.

The whole thing will just take a few minutes.

At the end you can stay or you can open your eyes and go on with the rest of your day.

I recommend that you sit down or lie down for this practice,

Whatever it is that your body allows or wants.

Now get very comfortable and take a moment to look around the room.

Notice exactly where you are.

Feel yourself anchored,

Anchoring to your body and know that you are safe in your body.

Your body is your instrument and you are an amazing spirit.

Take another look around the room and take a very deep breath into the nose.

Hold at the top of the inhale and then as you exhale slowly close your eyes.

Land in your room to breathe and this is where we begin our meditation.

Breathe in through the nose very very slowly.

Hold at the top of the inhale and then exhale even more slowly.

Pause at the bottom of your exhale and repeat the cycle.

Breathe in very slowly through the nose.

Hold at the top of the inhale and then exhale even more slowly through the nose.

Feel your body releasing tension.

Pause at the bottom of the exhale and breathe in.

Feel your body expanding.

Pause at the top of the inhale and then exhale and feel your body releasing tension,

Releasing stress,

Releasing fear and hold at the bottom of the exhale.

Breathe in again feeling your body expanding with light new energy.

Hold at the top of the inhale and exhale.

Release,

Release,

Release and hold and then breathe in again.

Expand,

Expand,

Expand and hold and exhale and release,

Release,

Release even more and hold and breathe in and hold.

Exhale and find your rhythm of breath.

Find the pace that feels natural for your body.

Find the pace that feels good and slow and allows you to breathe very deeply.

Feel that you are bringing new oxygen and energy and light to every cell in your body and when you're exhaling know that you are releasing tension and stress and fear also from every cell in your body and you can feel the momentum of the energy flowing,

Flowing in and flowing out like the ocean in its own natural and powerful rhythm.

Breathing in and breathing out very slowly.

And as you're breathing try to connect with your heart,

The energy of your heart pumping blood into all the cells.

This healing,

Healing blood calming all the little tensions and stresses,

Reducing inflammation,

Reducing tension,

Reducing stress,

Letting go of fear and bringing in love.

Take a moment as you're breathing very slowly to visualize the part of you that has been operated and see a light coming into this body part and spreading everywhere.

So much light,

So much energy.

Remember that your body is sacred,

Every piece of it.

Do not worry about what you have had done.

Give it love,

Give it more love,

Give it even more love with each slow breath and feel that the light is shining so brightly in every cell.

Feel that you are one gigantic ball of light,

Luminous and beautiful and pulsing to the rhythm of nature.

You are well,

Your body is well.

And take another very slow breath in through the nose and out through the nose even more slowly.

Again,

Breathing in through the nose,

Visualize your nervous system lighting up like the sun,

The moon and the stars.

And as you exhale it gets even brighter.

And as you inhale it gets even brighter.

And when you exhale it gets even brighter.

You are light,

You are energy.

And this light and energy feeds and heals your cells,

Your body,

Your fears,

Your mind,

Your heart.

Take another deep breath in through the nose and this time pause for an extra moment or two at the top of the inhale.

Feel yourself so safe,

So secure and so loved in the sanctuary of your body.

And then as you exhale very slowly,

Open your eyes if you wish.

Wiggle your fingers and your toes,

Look around the room or stay with your eyes closed a little bit longer.

Thank you for meditating with me today.

I wish you healing,

I wish you peace,

I wish you a peaceful,

Restful day.
