Welcome to our daily inspiration.
Today,
We're going to blow.
To flow is to practice acceptance.
Where we give ourselves permission for things to unfold naturally.
We allow things to be as they are meant to be.
Rather than always trying to change or control them.
The Great Vedic Text.
The Mundaka Upanishad says,
May you flow like a river that dances and sings the songs of the eternal.
While traveling along many bends in the riverbed.
Until she finally meets her beloved ocean.
Going with the flow opens us to new possibilities.
Instead of remaining fixed in our old ideas.
Going with the flow brings more fun into our lives.
I heard a story of a man who grew up in a small town with a river flowing through it.
The fun thing to do in summer was to take something that floated.
Paddle out into the middle of the river and flow with the current for a few miles to the next town.
However,
The key to having fun was to get in the flow of the river,
Where the current was the strongest.
Those who were nervous and stayed to the side.
Kept bumping into the bank and getting caught by overhanging branches.
Does your life have flow?
Please close your eyes.
Take in a deep breath.
Feel the air flowing in and out of your body.
Now hold your breath.
Keep holding it.
Now let it out.
How did it feel to block the flow?
Not very comfortable,
Right?
Let things flow.
Be aware of your blood flowing through your body.
The energy flowing through you.
Bring your attention to your mind.
Notice the flow of your thoughts from one to another.
How often do you become rigidly attached to thoughts or ideas?
Are you overly attached to material possessions or relationships?
Do you feel trapped in the past?
When a river stops flowing,
It becomes stagnant.
We don't want that to happen in our lives.
Imagine your life as a river.
Flowing effortlessly.
Here's the big boulder.
Called Someone Else's Opinions.
Don't try to flow over it.
Don't try to wash it away.
Simply go around.
Here's the bend.
Don't worry about what might be around the corner.
Be open to whatever exciting new opportunities await you.
Here's the shallow part.
Don't slow down and become serious.
Splash.
Play.
Have fun in the small rocks.
Now there's a waterfall.
Don't panic and try to stop everything.
Leap freely into whatever new and fabulous experiences are about to happen.
Go with the flow.
Now imagine rising above the river.
Looking down onto it.
The witness to all that happens.
Simply observing and allowing everything to unfold exactly as it should.
Perfect flow.
Perfect harmony.
Be that witness in your life.
Witness the flow.
Rest in silence.
And I'll watch the time.
Bring your awareness back to your breathing.
Allow your breath to flow effortlessly in and out.
And now.
When it's comfortable.
Please gently open your eyes.
As you go about your day.
Open to the flow of life.
Letting what comes,
Come.
And what goes.
Namaste.
