Okay.

Eyes closed.

Take a deep breath.

Drop your shoulders away from your ears if you tend to kind of pull them up when you're holding on to energy.

You tend to hold a lot of energy in our hands as well.

So if you got a bunch of energy in your hands,

Maybe just loosen up your palms.

You tend to hold a lot of energy in the jaw.

So if you got too much energy in the jaw,

Loosen up that jaw.

It's really important as we start meditating to just relax.

And I know even the attempt to relax can cause anxiety sometimes.

But can you just,

From head to toe,

Allow your body to start to relax?

We've got billions of years of evolution inside of us.

There's immense patience in the world for our growth.

It's built into us.

Maybe just kind of touch that energy for a moment.

Make sure you're breathing.

And let's do this.

I want you to just touch your hand to the center of your chest.

This is where if I asked you to point to yourself,

You would most likely point.

This is where we have the most sense of our identity.

And this is also where we tend to feel some pain.

Just touch that heart for a moment.

And then go ahead and touch your gut where we get that intuitive feeling sense.

You feel a lot of emotion.

As you touch your gut,

Maybe it relaxes.

Kind of give your stomach a healing with your hand.

Sometimes we touch our guts like,

Well,

There's a lot going on there.

I'm digesting not only food,

But energy.

And then maybe just kind of touch your fingers,

A couple fingers to your third eye,

Your mind's eye.

Right in the center of your forehead.

This is where we see from,

Where we have insight,

Where we learn to see in.

Let's touch one more,

Just the top of our heads.

Touch the crown of your head.

You know that soft spot on a baby's head that slowly hardens?

They're born with this soft spot.

In Hawaii,

They say this is where you connect with your ancestors.

This is where we find certainty.

Good job.

You put your hand down.

Just kind of a light physical way to center ourselves in our bodies.

And at any given time,

One of these places in your body might want your attention.

It's time to see something.

It's time to feel something in your heart or in your gut.

Part of meditation is learning to listen to yourself and learning to listen to that inner wisdom.

It might come as a voice.

It might come as a feeling,

A resonance,

An image,

A vision,

Or just like a sense of knowing this.

I just know that this is my path.

So what I want you to do is draw up that one thing you shared.

And if you came in late,

I asked everyone to share one area of their lives they want to develop into.

Career,

Relationships,

Spirituality,

Personal growth,

Creativity,

Whatever it is.

Pull up one area in your life that you can sense really wants your attention and wants to develop more.

And in some way,

It's a bit out of balance.

It's maybe a bit deficient.

You're not getting enough attention.

There's not enough self-love or confidence or belief.

Or it's an excess.

You spend too much time on it.

You're obsessed with it.

You overwork.

You think you're so amazing.

It's the only thing that matters.

It's the only thing that matters.

So when you find this one thing,

I want you to notice it could go both in excess or deficiency.

I want you to notice which one it is leaning into right now.

Is this energy leaning into excess or deficiency?

Does it feel too much,

Like too much attention or not enough?

Are you inflating around this or are you deflating?

And as I always say,

The best way to meditate is to be as honest with yourself as possible.

Take everybody else's ideas and expectations and try to be as honest with yourself as possible.

Take everybody else's ideas and expectations,

Judgments,

Put them in a bubble and send them off into the clouds.

The only thing that matters right here is you and what you experience.

There's nobody else on earth that can have the subjective experience of being you.

That's very special.

And so that means nobody else can have the same insight of your subjective experience as you.

I want you to take a look at this excess or deficiency around whatever energy topic that's come up for you.

Just be honest with how it's making you feel and what the challenge is.

Underneath the surface level of it,

You might realize,

Wow,

It's around self-worth or it's around judgment or I just feel stuck.

Or I think I'm better than everyone else,

But really it's an insecurity.

So take a look.

What is it?

What's pulling you into deficiency or into excess?

What's pulling your energy out of balance and not letting you fulfill your potential?

And if you don't know if you feel confused or you have doubt,

That's the energy.

That's it.

Work with it.

Where does the doubt or the confusion come from or the noise?

It's actually really fulfilling to find where we're stuck because then we know where we're going through the stuckness.

For example,

I have a hard time receiving love.

I feel stuck,

But wow,

Now I know what it is.

That actually can inspire us.

All right,

I'm ready to heal and to grow.

And I'd like you to ask yourself this question.

What would I look like if I got through this energy and I found my potential?

I found balance and found my potential.

How would my life look different?

What would I look like?

What would my energy be like?

What would my energy be like if I had boundaries,

If I spoke my mind,

If I went directly at my passion,

If I shared my gifts with the world?

If I opened my heart to love?

Connect with that part of yourself.

It's already in you.

Maybe you've been looking in the wrong direction.

And then when we do that,

We realize what's between where we are now and where we're going.

There's this energy there,

Maybe it's fear or confusion or doubt or pain,

Whatever it is,

We realize what it is and we realize that it's manageable and that we can work through it.

And it's actually a gift.

Life wants us to work through it because that's how we grow and develop into who we're meant to be.

It was never meant to be punishment.

Can you be really honest about what that energy is?

And right now,

Just look at it clearly and allow it to start to maybe peel off or melt off of you with a loving compassion,

With an awareness of acceptance.

Just look at this energy that's been holding you back in excess or in deficiency and let it start to melt off of you.

Maybe as a group,

We'll just say,

Just like,

I know you all can't hear each other,

Just like a big,

Yeah,

Let out a big shrug.

You know,

Like when a kindergartner,

You go back to your seat to like,

Ah,

There we go.

I want you to notice this energy is not the end of the world.

And if you embrace it,

It will bring you the greatest miracles of your life.

If you want to be a healer and there's something in you that needs to be healed,

Well,

Here is your chance.

If you want to be a lover and there's some energy around love that needs to be healed,

Here is your chance.

Eventually,

You kind of find that core energy of what's been weighing you down.

Of what's been causing addiction,

Of what's been making you not like yourself,

Of what's been keeping you hiding from the world.

Eventually,

If you sit long enough,

You find that core energy of what it is and you have to look at it directly with compassion.

And then when you start to understand it,

That's when it starts to uncoil.

Turn that boulder into water.

Let it just melt into water and then just float away.

Just almost like a river just passing down the hill.

Just let it go.

Maybe it floats into a cloud.

Maybe it turns into water.

You might get this awareness like,

Oh,

I've been carrying that a long time.

Maybe eons.

I've been working on my lover energy or my artist,

My healer for a long time.

I've been apathetic around my creator,

Afraid of my explorer.

You notice that energy and it just starts to shift with your awareness.

Understanding leads to wisdom and wisdom to freedom.

Take a nice big deep breath.

Make sure you're still here if you floated away.

Breathe out,

Relax,

Drop your shoulders.

I want you to take one more moment here and start to embrace this energy of your soul.

I'll say them one more time if you came in late.

The creator in us,

The healer,

The warrior,

The lover,

The artist,

The explorer,

And the master.

I want you to embrace whatever energy you've been working on here.

Maybe there's even a color to this energy.

Maybe that color kind of sparks.

You know,

When you light a fire,

It sparks in your heart and that color just starts to shine out of you.

And for the rest of the day or evening,

Can you embrace this energy in yourself?

You don't have to apologize about it or hide.

Amazing work.

When you're ready,

You can slowly open your eyes.

Stretch.
