Welcome to day two of our Morning Mastery Meditation Series.
Today we will be focusing on mindfulness,
The practice of being fully present and engaged in the present moment.
Mindfulness can help us become more aware of our thoughts,
Our feelings,
And our surroundings,
Which can lead to a greater sense of calm,
Clarity,
And focus.
So find a comfortable position,
Seated on a cushion or a chair,
And let's begin our mindful practice for today.
So begin by taking a deep breath in,
And as you exhale,
Allow yourself to settle into the present moment.
Feel your body becoming more relaxed and at ease.
Take another deep breath in,
And as you exhale,
Let go of any thoughts or distractions that may be present in your mind.
One more deep breath in,
And as you exhale,
Feel a sense of calm and stillness,
Settling over you.
Now bring your attention to your breath.
Notice the sensation of the air moving in and out of your body.
Focus on the feeling of your breath moving in and out of your nose or mouth,
Or the rise and fall of your chest.
And as you focus on your breath,
Allow any thoughts or distractions to simply pass by,
Just like the clouds moving across the sky.
If your mind starts to wander here,
Gently bring your attention back to your breath.
You may find it helpful to count each inhale and exhale,
Or to repeat a word or phrase to yourself,
Such as peace or calm.
Whatever works best for you.
Allow yourself to stay fully present with your breath.
As you continue to focus on your breath,
Notice any sensations in your body.
Are you feeling any tension or relaxation?
Is there any discomfort,
Or are you at ease?
Simply observe these sensations without any judgment,
Letting them be just as they are.
So take a few more deep breaths in and out,
Continuing to focus on your breath and any sensations in your body.
When you are ready,
Take one more deep breath in,
And as you exhale,
Slowly open your eyes and return your attention to the present moment.
And taking a moment now to appreciate yourself for taking this time to practice mindfulness,
Knowing that this practice can bring greater peace,
Clarity,
And presence to your life.
Welcome to your day.
