Every year provides a blank slate,
A wide open sky of possibilities,
Giving you a fresh opportunity to call in all you desire and make this year the year of dreams come true.
So,
Let's dream together here today.
I'm so glad you're here,
Dear one.
As you get yourself comfortable,
Either sitting or lying down,
And whenever you're ready,
Gently allow your eyes to close.
Become aware of your breathing.
Noticing your chest rising and your ribs expanding on the inhale,
And noticing your chest falling and ribs contracting as you exhale.
Notice the space within your chest increasing and decreasing with each breath.
Let it happen with ease,
With gentleness.
Really feel into the sense of the breath filling you up,
Not you filling yourself up.
Let the breath be the energy that moves through the apparatus that is your body.
Let it fill you on the inhale,
Let it flow through you on the exhale,
And let go.
Allow yourself to hand over the reins and let yourself be breathed.
The more you let it,
The more your body relaxes.
It is the natural by-product of you flowing with life.
Tension is the natural by-product of trying to force life.
So,
Notice if there are any areas of tension or tightness in your body that may have formed as you worked hard at life before coming to this meditation,
And with this feeling of letting go,
Of letting the breath and life happen for you.
Let those areas soften and release as you continue to hand over the reins and let relaxation happen.
Ask those areas to soften and then let them soften.
The body wants to relax and release and let go.
Holding and clenching,
Tightening,
That all takes work.
Remove the effort,
Allow the release.
Let yourself be breathed and let your body just be.
Breathe in with softness and ease and let the exhale be soft and easy.
Stay present with this easy flowing breath as each one rolls gently into the next.
No thought required.
No effort required.
No figuring out how required.
From this place of ultimate relaxation and ease and softness,
Imagine if this year of dreams come true could feel just as easy and soft and flowing.
From this fertile ground of relaxation you have created here,
Bring into your mind's eye everything that you wish this year to hold.
Ask for what you want this year.
If this year could be filled with the same lightness and joy and peacefulness that this breath holds,
What would you be doing?
What would you be feeling?
What would you be thinking?
Where would you be?
And who would you be with?
How would your days unfold?
Just like the breath,
No effort,
No force,
No trying to figure out how.
Breathe in soft and easy,
Creating space for the feeling of everything you desire.
And exhale,
Allow that feeling to flow throughout your entire body.
Ask for the things and the places and the people and the feelings,
And then allow them to enter your body with each breath,
Taking up more and more space.
If you were living the life of your dreams,
What would it look like?
And what would it feel like?
Gently hold the vision in your mind's eye,
And then gently allow the feeling to expand from your heart center and out into your whole body,
Looking down as your perfect day is unfolding,
With the vision of the eagle,
Who does not question if,
It's just simply when,
All that it desires will be in its clutches,
And then allow yourself to float and swoop down,
Catching exactly what you want.
You are already there,
You're already feeling it,
You're already living it.
What does it feel like?
And then on your next cycle of breath,
See it on the inhale,
And feel it on the exhale.
See it clearly on the inhale,
And feel it deeply on the exhale.
You're scanning your desires,
And then you're swooping down and living amongst them.
If you can see it,
You can feel it,
And if you can feel it,
You are already living it.
Creating space for all that you desire on the inhale,
And letting the feeling of your desire flow throughout your body on the exhale,
Telling your body that you're already there,
You already have it.
Take some time here to go even deeper into this feeling,
And to delight in the knowing that activating this feeling will attract more of it.
You don't need to figure it out,
Just feel it throughout each and every day as it rolls gently into the next day,
And the next day.
Day by day,
You are creating the best year of your life.
And then whenever you're ready,
Come back to the room,
And gently open your eyes.
