Welcome,
Dear soul,
To this meditation.
Thank you for choosing this moment.
There is nothing you need to do right now,
No goals to achieve,
No future to chase.
You are invited to rest in the presence of this ancient truth.
Happiness is not a destination.
Happiness is the path.
So often we believe happiness lies somewhere beyond the next achievement,
Beyond the next milestone,
The next chapter.
But the great teachers have always whispered,
Come back to this moment.
This is the only place where you truly live.
Let this meditation be a return,
A homecoming to yourself,
To your breath,
To your heart,
To the simplicity of being alive.
Breathe in deeply and gently exhale.
Feel the rhythm of your breath arriving like a wave and retreating like the tide.
Each breath is a step on your path.
Each breath a reminder that you are here and that is enough.
If you haven't already,
Close your eyes softly.
Allow your shoulders to drop.
Let your tongue soften in your mouth.
Unclench your jaw.
Feel your spine lengthen slightly with each breath in and softening gently with each breath out.
Now bring your attention to your feet.
Sense the ground beneath them,
The earth always holding you.
Feel the safety in this moment.
Feel your breath anchoring you like roots into the ground.
Breathe deeply into your belly.
Let it rise and fall like a calm ocean wave.
Now in your mind's eye,
Imagine yourself on a path,
A gentle winding trail that leads through a beautiful natural landscape.
You're walking slowly,
Perhaps barefoot.
You feel the soft earth and grass beneath your feet.
Sunlight filters through the trees,
Dancing on the open fields.
Birds echo in the distance.
There is no rush here,
No need to hurry.
Each step is full.
Each step is complete.
With every breath,
Feel yourself arriving,
Not to a destination,
Just to this step,
This moment.
As you walk,
Repeat softly in your mind,
Inhale,
I arrive.
Exhale,
I am home.
Inhale,
I smile.
Exhale,
I let go.
Let each step be your meditation.
You are not walking to get somewhere.
You are walking to feel.
Walking to remember.
Walking to be.
Just notice the beauty around you.
A butterfly landing on a leaf.
The wind through the branches.
The smell of wildflowers.
These small moments,
This awareness.
This is what joy is made of.
Let this peaceful path mirror your inner world.
Every time your mind wanders,
Gently return.
Coming back to your breath.
Come back to your feet.
Come back to now.
This is the path.
Imagine yourself sitting beneath a tree or beside a quiet stream.
Feel your breath slowing.
Your mind softening.
Your heart opening.
Place a gentle smile on your lips.
Not because something made you smile.
But because the act of smiling reminds your body and mind that it's okay to feel good.
It's okay to feel at peace.
It's okay to just be.
Say quietly within,
Happiness is not outside of me.
Happiness is here in this breath.
This moment is my home.
Let your smile melt down through your body like sunlight.
Warming your chest.
Softening your belly.
Soothing your shoulders.
Resting gently in your heart.
Let yourself sit with this presence.
Let yourself feel content.
Let yourself be happy for no reason at all.
Beginning to bring your awareness back into your body now.
Wiggling your fingers and toes.
Notice your breath.
Feel your physical presence in the space where you are.
But let not this return be to striving or rushing.
Let it be a continuation of your practice.
Happiness doesn't disappear when the meditation ends.
Happiness walks always within you.
In how you eat.
In how you speak.
In how you pause.
In how you breathe.
Carry this truth within you.
When I drink tea,
Happiness is with me.
When I take a step,
Happiness walks with me.
When I breathe,
Happiness breathes.
For there is nothing to chase.
There is nowhere to go.
This moment is the path.
And you,
Dear one,
Are already walking it.
Smile,
Breathe and know,
Happiness is not later.
Happiness is now.
Remember always,
Happiness is not a destination outside of you.
Happiness is the path within you.
Blessings to you,
Dear soul.
Thank you so much for joining this meditation.
Namaste.
