Welcome,

Dear one.

This is your time to rest,

To soften into stillness,

To release the day and return to your breath,

Your body,

Your peace.

Find a comfortable position,

Lying down,

Wrapped in warmth.

Let the room be dim or dark,

The way the moon might like it.

Close your eyes and let your body be held.

Breathe in deeply through your nose and exhale slowly through your mouth.

Inhale,

Feel your belly rise.

Exhale,

Feel it fall.

With each breath,

Allow yourself to arrive more deeply into this moment.

There is nothing else to do,

Nowhere else to be.

Just this.

Breath,

Stillness,

Peace.

As your body begins to unwind,

Gently bring your attention to the top of your head.

Imagine a soft,

Silvery light,

Like moonlight,

Gently brushing over your scalp.

It's cool,

Calming,

Peaceful.

This moonlight begins to travel down,

Over your forehead,

Smoothing out any tension.

Over your eyes,

Your cheeks,

Your jaw.

If you're holding any tightness,

You can let it go now.

Let the moonlight melt it away.

Feel the soft glow continue down your neck and shoulders.

Any stress,

Any weight from the day begins to dissolve.

With every exhale,

You become a little softer.

Your arms grow heavy,

Your chest relaxed.

Your heart steady and calm.

The moonlight moves through your belly,

Warm and quiet.

Down through your hips,

Your legs,

Your knees,

Until it gently reaches your feet.

Your whole body is bathed in moonlight.

You are safe,

You are held,

You are home.

Now imagine yourself lying outside,

Under a vast,

Starry sky.

The moon above is glowing just for you.

She is gentle,

She does not rush.

She simply shines,

Steady and serene.

Breathe in her stillness.

Breathe out all that you don't need to carry anymore.

As you lie beneath the sky,

Repeat softly in your mind.

I welcome rest.

I am safe to let go.

Sleep flows to me with ease.

Let these words become a lullaby,

A rhythm to carry you into the quiet.

The moon reminds you,

You don't need to be full to be whole.

You can be dim,

Hidden,

Quiet and still be sacred.

You are allowed to rest.

You are allowed to pause.

You are allowed to let the day go.

If your mind wanders,

That's okay.

Gently bring your focus back to your breath,

Back to the calm.

Back to the rhythm of your body.

Feel your muscles sinking into softness.

Your thoughts slowing like drifting clouds.

You are floating,

Weightless,

Calm.

Tonight nothing is required of you.

You have done enough.

You are enough.

Let yourself be carried by the quiet.

Let the moonlight keep watch over you.

Let your breath be the soft tide,

Washing in and out.

If you'd like,

Place one hand over your heart and one on your belly.

Feel your body raise and fall with ease.

Feel the life within you,

Quiet,

Gentle,

Beautiful.

Say softly in your mind,

I trust the rhythm of rest.

I surrender to the stillness of sleep.

I am wrapped in peace.

There is nothing to hold on to.

Let yourself be free.

Let yourself be still.

Let yourself be cradled by the night.

Now allow the music to guide you.

Drift,

Float,

Soften.

Let the moon carry you into a night of peaceful,

Healing rest.
