Meditation helps us bring the sparkle factor into our daily lives. During stressful times of change, we can recharge our batteries and find the spark of inspiration that only comes from regular time in comfort and deep relaxation. It is possible and even probable to feel positive changes in your world simply by taking a brief meditation break every day. I hope you enjoy this short, guided meditation with two minutes of silence that ends with my gratitude for you.

Hello and welcome.

I'm so glad you're here.

This is a moment of togetherness,

Connectedness,

And luscious solitude.

If you can,

Get a little more comfortable.

Close your eyes.

Right here,

Right now,

We're practicing the art of making time for ourselves.

We do this by creating a little more room to just be and breathe in and out,

Like the waves of the ocean.

By spending this short break from everyday life,

Breathing and being,

Without a big agenda,

We lighten up and bring the sparkle factor into our lives.

We can do this every day by keeping our intentions simple and clear.

Just be and comfortably breathe in,

Then slowly exhale.

There's no big deal here,

No struggle or fuss.

Let your shoulders gently rise up to kiss your ears and then slide down until they are naturally floating at the base of your neck.

Unless,

Of course,

You're lying down.

In that case,

Make sure your knees are up just a little bit so that your back is nice and flat and supported.

Either way,

Feel the earth beneath you.

Feel the stars above you.

Feel your golden heart lighting up.

Place a hand on your heart and the other on your belly.

Think of these as the red and black cables that help one jump-start a car.

During this short break,

We relax and let our breath,

Heart and belly connect.

This recharges our personal batteries.

This brings the spark.

I'm watching the clock for you.

I'll ring the bell and after two minutes,

I'll ring it again.

If during the reading,

The ringing,

You find yourself thinking about distractions,

Repeat this simple mantra.

I am relaxing.

I am relaxing.

I am relaxing.

You can play with it.

This is fun and simple and clear.

Just breathing and being.

Here we go.

If you haven't already,

You can release the red and black battery cables.

Let your eyes flutter open to adjust to the room around you.

Ease back into your day.

Slip off into sleep.

Bring this nourishing,

Important relaxation with you.
