In this video,
We're going to begin our journey into the breathing exercises that are going to ignite us.
They're going to wake us up,
Whether it's in the morning,
Before a workout,
Before a yoga class,
Whatever it may be,
These breathwork techniques are going to help stimulate the body to wake it up,
To ignite our fire,
To ignite our sun energy,
As a yogi would say.
And so the first technique that I would like to teach you guys is called priming breath.
And this is a breath work technique that Tony Robbins actually admitted to doing every morning when he wakes up.
He does this and then a nice meditation with gratitude,
Which he's famous for.
But this technique is really great for whenever we're wanting to stimulate the system,
Right?
This is a pitta technique,
A fire technique.
Going to really activate our bodies,
Minds,
Spirits.
You don't need coffee in the morning if you do this technique.
I can assure you it's epic.
So the technique goes like this.
We're going to be breathing through the nose.
And when we breathe through the nose,
We're going to do forceful inhales and exhales.
Just like that.
So you almost feel like a machine.
You're going to be pushing out with the stomach when you inhale.
Pulling it in whenever you exhale.
Okay.
Whenever we do this,
We're going to be pushing our arms.
Up on the inhale down on the exhale so going up Thank you.
We do this for 30 reps and you can do as many sets as you would like.
So 30 times we're going to do this big inhale through the nose.
And then down,
Pull the arms back in,
Elbows tucked.
Forceful out.
So forceful in.
Okay?
And so go ahead and try it with me if you'd like.
Just take a couple of regular breaths in through the nose.
And out of the mouth.
Into the house.
And I'll tell you now.
Pull your elbows in,
Tuck your arms,
And begin.
Hell yeah!
So obviously this is gonna get the blood flowing.
Both the body and it's going to be expanding and contracting the lungs,
Breathing in.
Through the nose forcefully bringing in that sun energy and it's going to be really amazing for just stimulating and waking up the body.
One of the best ways to wake up in the morning is movement and so whenever we tap into our breath in congruence with movement,
Then we can really begin to activate the whole system,
Body,
Mind and spirit.
And a great way to supplement this breathing technique is to go into meditation right afterward.
So it helps to still the mind but it helps you to wake up in the morning so that you can be alert enough to sit in meditation and not get sleepy and fall asleep.
Okay,
So this is priming breath.
And this is the first breathing technique in our awakeners,
If you will,
Breathing exercises.
So thank you.
Take a few minutes,
Some moments to practice this technique after the video.
And I look forward to seeing you in the next video.
Thank you.
Namaste.
