Take a moment to arrive just as you are.
Let the body sense that nothing is being asked of it.
Notice where you are supported.
The surface beneath you.
The steadiness that's already holding you.
Let that support do its work.
Allow your breath to be natural,
Moving in its own rhythm.
Simply notice that breathing is happening.
For many of us,
Aliveness has arrived without safety.
It may have come too quickly,
Been misunderstood,
Or asked for something in return.
So here we begin differently.
Here,
Aliveness is welcomed gently in the measure your body chooses.
Bring your attention softly to the center of your body.
The chest,
The belly,
Or wherever feels most neutral.
Simply notice what's here.
If there is warmth,
Let it be there.
If there is numbness,
Let that be there too.
This moment is complete as is.
Sacred presence builds trust.
It allows the body to set the pace.
If the body rests in quiet,
That is welcome.
If a subtle hum of aliveness appears,
Receive it gently.
Safety leads.
Aliveness follows in its own time.
Notice whether there is any urgency.
I wish to feel more,
Soften faster,
Or open wider.
If urgency appears,
Allow it to ease.
You're already moving at the right pace.
Let awareness widen slightly,
Including the back of the body,
The sides,
And the space around you.
This widening is held and supported.
Aliveness,
When it feels safe,
Is often quiet.
A simple sense of being here.
A gentle warmth.
A feeling of enough.
There is nothing to hold on to or deepen.
Just let this be.
As this practice settles,
Know that safety and aliveness belong together.
When the body feels met,
Aliveness can rest.
This way of listening remains available whenever sensation feels distant,
Or when you want to return to ease.
When you're ready,
Allow gentle movement back into the body,
Or let the eyes open softly.
Take your time.
