Welcome to this somatic meditation.

My name is Dez.

This is a space for you to slow down,

Soften inward,

And allow whatever emotions or sensations may be present to move through you.

There's nothing to fix or force,

Just permission to feel gently in your own time.

So let's begin.

Find a comfortable position,

Either seated or lying down.

Let your body feel supported.

You can close your eyes,

Or find a gentle,

Soft gaze.

Whatever feels most safe for you today.

Relax your forehead,

Your jaw,

Remove your tongue from the top of your mouth.

Soften your throat,

Shoulders,

And your belly.

Begin by bringing your attention to your breath.

No need to change it,

Just notice.

Feel the inhale move in through your nose,

And the exhale gently leave your body.

Now take a couple slow breaths.

Inhale deeply through the nose,

And exhale with a soft sigh.

Again,

Inhale,

And sigh it out.

Let your breath return to its natural rhythm.

Soft,

Easy.

Each breath like a wave,

Rising,

Falling.

Now bring your awareness into your body.

Notice any areas of contact where your body touches the ground or surface beneath you.

Feel into the space of your body.

Can you sense any tightness,

Stillness,

Maybe energy moving throughout?

Just observe.

You're not trying to change anything.

You're simply being with yourself.

Fully,

Kindly,

And with curiosity.

Where does your attention feel most drawn in your body today,

Right now?

Just let it land there,

Gently.

Now imagine your breath as an ocean wave,

Rising as you breathe in naturally,

And falling as you breathe out naturally.

Let your breath be the tide.

Steadily washing over whatever emotions or sensations that are present.

You might notice a heaviness in your chest.

Maybe a flutter in your belly.

Maybe a lump in your throat.

Whatever is here,

Just allow it to be here.

Like a wave,

Emotions rise,

They crest,

And eventually they fall away.

If something feels too big,

You can always return to the anchor of your breath.

Inhaling.

Exhaling.

You are safe to ride the wave at your own pace.

There is no right way to feel.

Everything is welcome.

Everything belongs.

Noticing the body,

What's moving through right now.

Can you stay with it?

Just for a few breaths.

Maybe even placing a hand where you feel it most.

Just allowing yourself to feel.

Offer yourself the presence that you need.

You are not alone here.

Beautiful.

Now begin to return slowly.

Feel the ground beneath you.

Notice the rhythm of your breath.

The inhales.

The exhales.

If it feels right in your mind space,

You can repeat.

I can ride the wave.

I am safe to feel.

This too is part of my healing.

Just allowing yourself to rest for a moment in this stillness after the wave.

This is powerful.

Just by being with yourself.

This is beautiful healing work.

Take one more deep,

Nourishing breath in.

Exhale fully,

Letting it all go.

Thank you for taking this time to come back to your body.

Your healing.

Your breath.

Your emotional flow.

It is beautiful work.

You can bring some movement to your fingers.

Your toes.

As you gently open your eyes.

Become aware of the physical space you are in.

Slowly taking some time to gaze through your space.

Have a beautiful rest of your day.

Sending love,

Light,

And joy.
