Hello and welcome to a meditation on starting your motherhood journey.
This is part three,
Releasing Uncertainty.
Please be seated in a comfortable chair with both feet flat on the ground.
Take a deep breath and close your eyes.
With your eyes closed,
Would you check in with your body?
You can notice the soles of your feet,
Your tummy,
Your shoulders.
And you may notice tension in certain areas,
But you also may notice movement or strength in others.
And from that creative,
Imaginative part of you,
Would you visualize a grounding cord,
A line of energy,
That connects you at the base of your spine and goes all the way down into the very center of the earth.
Take a deep breath,
Breathe,
And with your grounding cord set,
Would you notice how does your body feel with it?
Would you notice the communication,
The connection that you have with the earth?
This way that you have to release.
And would you release anything that you're ready to let go of into the earth and breathe?
This may be something that happened to you during your day or your night.
It may be something that happened to you or to somebody else,
Maybe one of your children.
Whatever it might be,
You can let it go and breathe.
One of the things we run into as mothers is uncertainty.
This can be because of a new situation,
You may be a new mother,
Or maybe you've been a mother for a while and you're still encountering new situations every day.
It may also be because you met someone who is very certain,
Making you doubt your own thoughts or feelings or intuitions.
It may also just be something that doesn't make sense at all,
But the effect is that you feel uncertain.
Breathe.
Would you begin to release any uncertainty that has come up for you from a new situation?
This might be a new situation for you as a mother,
Or a new situation that you're encountering at work.
Whatever it might be,
If you are encountering uncertainty,
Would you let it go down into the earth?
And breathe.
Would you notice any decisions that you need to make where you feel uncertain?
Should you choose this thing or that thing?
Should you take an action or take a step back?
Releasing the uncertainty doesn't get rid of the situation,
But what it does do is it makes some more space for you and your own energy,
Making it so there's more room for you to be certain.
So would you release any uncertainty down into the earth?
Would you also release any uncertainty that came up for you because you encountered someone else who was very certain?
Maybe they gave you advice directly,
But you may have also just heard them in passing or you found them online.
There are so many people who give advice on mothering and parenting.
And some of the advice may work for you,
But some of it may not.
If the effect is that you feel uncertain,
Just release that uncertainty down your grounding cord.
And breathe.
Lastly,
Would you release uncertainty about who you are as a mother?
You can release any feelings,
Any uncertainty that you have down your grounding cord.
It is completely okay and natural to feel uncertain as you're on this journey.
But as you release these feelings,
You may notice there's a little bit more room for you and your energy.
So that way,
When you are certain,
When you are ready,
You can move forward and breathe.
Would you visualize a golden sun above you?
And would you have this golden sun be completely filled with your unique energy?
And would you see it shining down into your body everywhere where you released energy?
Have it shine down into your feet and your legs,
Into your torso and your back,
Into your arms and hands,
And all the way up into your neck,
Your head.
Breathe.
When you're all filled up,
Would you tell your body that you'll be coming out of meditation?
And then you can gently open your eyes and come out of meditation.
