I will use visualization to help you to reconnect with yourself, to take your first step of becoming the hero of your own journey. Welcome to a meditation on starting your motherhood journey.

This is part 4.

Please be seated in a comfortable chair with both feet flat on the ground.

Take a deep breath in and close your eyes.

And with your eyes closed,

Would you recognize that you are a mother?

And part of being a mother is that you have a body.

And your body is here,

Right now,

In present time.

So,

Would you wiggle your fingers and wiggle your toes?

And feel free to stretch or move as you need.

Breathe.

And would you tune in to that creative,

Imaginative part of you?

And would you visualize a grounding cord that connects you all the way down into the very center of the earth?

Breathe.

And would you release anything that you're ready to let go of?

As a mother,

There is one energy that you will undoubtedly encounter.

Again and again,

This energy is fear.

If you're someone who experiences a lot of fear as a person or as a mother,

This can be overwhelming or possibly even debilitating.

So,

Would you take a deep breath?

And would you notice any fear that has been weighing on you today?

This may be fear about money,

About safety.

It may be fear about a relationship or a situation that you're in.

Whatever it may be,

Would you let go of it and allow for it to go down your grounding cord and into the earth?

Breathe.

Would you notice if the fear is resting in a particular place in your body?

You may notice it in your chest.

And would you let that fear go down into the earth?

You may notice something is weighing on your mind and it's in your head.

And would you let it go down into the earth?

You may even notice fear in your legs or your feet or your arms or hands.

Anywhere that it may be,

Would you just allow for it to be let go and go down your grounding cord?

Take a deep breath.

And would you notice any fear that's been weighing on you for the past week?

Something that you've been carrying around and you just haven't been able to let go of it yet.

And would you let it go now and release it into the earth?

You may notice that it's hard to let go of fear.

That part of you actually wants to keep it or you may even feel fear about letting go of fear itself.

You may notice it's just stuck in a place in your body or it may be hard to locate exactly where it is.

If that's the case,

Would you widen your grounding cord?

So it's not just a thin line,

Actually as wide as your hips.

Take a deep breath.

And give yourself and your body space to let go.

You may not have had the space to let go of your fear.

And so,

Would you now notice if there's any fear that has been weighing on you long term?

This may be from the past month,

The past year or maybe even longer.

This may not be a rational fear,

Although it may be.

It's not even a fear that needs really to make sense.

But if you are feeling it,

Then it is affecting you and affecting your energy.

So would you let it go?

And would you let it go down your nice wide grounding cord?

Notice if there's this energy you've been holding on to day after day and let it go.

Breathe.

Now,

Would you visualize a golden sun above you?

And would you have this gold sun be completely filled up with your unique energy?

And would you have this sun shine down into you and into your body?

Filling you up everywhere where you released the fear.

Pay particular attention to the places where fear was taking up space.

So if you noticed it in your chest,

Pay particular attention to your chest or your shoulders.

And breathe.

When you're all filled up,

Would you tell your body that you'll be coming out of meditation?

Fill up just a tiny bit more.

And then would you gently open your eyes and fully come out of meditation?
