Inspired by my own postpartum struggles, here is a moment just for you mama - a moment to invite in peace and calm, both within your day and yourself. I want to acknowledge just how full and, at times, overwhelming motherhood can be. So, thank you for being here—for taking this moment just for you. When you fill you up, you get to pour into your family even more.

Welcome,

Mama,

To this five-minute affirmation meditation.

I want to begin by acknowledging just how full and at times overwhelming motherhood can be.

Thank you for being here and for taking this moment just for you,

A moment to invite in peace and calm both within your day and within yourself.

We'll begin by gently closing the eyes if that feels comfortable and accessible.

Draw your awareness inward by focusing on your body and its sensations.

Just notice what you notice without judgment and allow yourself to settle into a calming connection with your breath.

If you're anything like me,

Your mind may wander and that's okay.

Just simply guide it back with a gentle reminder,

Body,

Breath.

Notice what you notice now.

What feels tense and what feels light?

How does it feel to slow down,

To simply or not so simply be?

From this space,

Let my words become your words as you repeat the following affirmations.

When I take time for me,

I show up more fully.

I trust myself to meet the needs of this moment.

My presence is enough.

I am worthy of love,

Care,

And rest.

I give myself permission to slow down.

I am learning so much about myself and thriving in ways I never even imagined.

I feel and witness my own power and strength in new ways.

I am surrounded by love and support and I get to ask and receive help.

I am growing and evolving alongside my baby.

I have great instincts and I take really good care of myself,

So I'll take amazing care of my children.

I honor the season I'm in and I give myself grace.

I allow the waters of my emotions and feelings to flow.

I can embrace the joys and the struggles.

I am my baby's safe place and I cultivate safety within myself.

I offer forgiveness toward myself when I make mistakes.

I celebrate the small and the big wins.

I am wise and trustworthy.

I am deeply connected to the mothers who came before me and those walking beside me now.

Take a moment to place a hand on your heart or wherever you feel called.

Offer yourself gratitude for showing up,

Pausing,

Breathing and connecting.

This moment is proof of your strength and your willingness to care for yourself.

That is powerful.

Your inner well is being filled and from here you rise with more compassion,

More clarity and more calm.

Carry this feeling with you as you continue your day.

You are doing beautifully,

Mama,

And you are never alone.

When you're ready,

Gently return to the room,

Wiggle your fingers and toes,

Softly open your eyes.
