Welcome.
Just take a moment to arrive just as you are and let this moment meet you exactly as you are.
No need to rush ahead or reach for anything else.
Just gently notice your breath as it moves in and out.
And in your own time,
Just allow your awareness to settle in the center of your chest.
Not your physical heart,
But the space just behind the breastbone.
It's a quiet,
Often unnoticed place,
But it holds something rather special.
There is a small gland here called the thymus,
And most people sometimes go throughout their whole lives without ever hearing about it.
And yet,
In your early years of your life,
It worked quietly,
Tirelessly,
And it was shaping your ability to stay safe in the world.
The thymus is part of your immune system,
But not in the way we often think of protection.
It teaches,
It's like a gentle school where your immune cells are trained to recognize what belongs and what does not.
It's to know the difference between self and other.
And perhaps as you hear this,
You might begin to sense the quiet intelligence within you that has always been learning how to protect you,
Not through fear,
But through understanding.
When you were young,
Your thymus was larger,
More active,
And it carefully guided developing immune cells,
Showing them what is safe and what might cause harm.
And cells that responded appropriately were allowed to continue.
And those that might turn against your own body were gently released.
They were let go before they could create harm.
And so deep within you,
There's always been this quiet intelligence.
It's not just keeping you safe,
But gently guiding you towards balance.
So,
As we sit with this,
It's hard not to notice the reflection between the body and the way we move through life,
Learning what feels safe,
Learning what belongs,
And learning when to open and when to gently step back.
Your thymus in its own quiet way has always been part of that deeper wisdom within you.
It's a reminder that there is already a quiet intelligence within you that knows.
And as Rumi once said,
What you seek is seeking you.
And your body has been doing just that.
Seeking balance,
Seeking safety,
Seeking a way to care for you from within.
So,
Just gently bring your awareness back to the center of your chest.
You might like to rest a hand there and just see a soft,
Warm light in this space.
And if it feels right for you,
You could gently just tap this area very softly in your own time,
Like a quiet invitation.
Not to wake anything up,
But simply to acknowledge what is already here.
Breathing in and breathing out.
Allow a sense of warmth or even just curiosity to begin to gather in this space.
There is nothing you need to make happen,
Just a gentle remembering that within you there is a quiet intelligence that has always been learning how to care for you,
How to protect you and also how to trust.
So,
Take a slightly deeper breath in now.
And as you breathe out,
Just simply notice what it feels like to be in your body right now.
In this present moment.
You are so supported by systems that you don't have to control.
You are guided by a quiet intelligence within you that has been with you all along.
And your beautiful body knows more than you think.
And in your own time,
Just begin to trust that a little more.
Gently,
Slowly,
Coming back to you in your own time.
Namaste,
My friend.
