Good morning and welcome.
This morning we begin with joy.
Not the bright,
Demanding kind that shouts from the rooftops,
But the gentle,
Spacious joy that rises softly from within.
This is the joy of simply being alive,
Of breath,
Of presence.
There's no need to perform today,
No striving or pushing.
You don't need to chase joy,
You just need to notice it.
So,
As you rest into this moment,
Let your shoulders drop,
Your breath slow,
And your heart open.
Allow the whisper of joy to arrive naturally,
Like sunlight through the leaves.
This morning is an invitation to let yourself feel good in small,
Honest ways.
Let joy awaken gently,
Like the first bird song at dawn.
Let's arrive home now in the body.
Bring your awareness down to your feet.
Feel them supported,
Safe.
Let your ankles soften.
Now draw your attention up through your calves and knees,
Noticing any sensation.
Allow your thighs to release and just give them permission to let go.
Let your hips feel grounded,
Spacious.
Move slowly up through your belly.
You can place a hand here if you like,
And allow any tension to melt away with your exhale.
Now come to your chest,
And this is the space where joy often hides.
So,
Breathe into it gently.
Let your shoulders relax,
Your hands open softly.
Move your awareness to your jaw,
The cheeks,
The space around your eyes.
And just feel your whole face soften,
All those muscles,
Even on the inside of your mouth.
Rest now in your whole body,
And just let it feel easy,
Alive,
And whole.
Let's bring breath into this space of lightness now.
So just begin with three slow,
Intentional breaths.
Inhale through your nose.
Hold gently,
And exhale through your mouth.
Long,
Slow,
And steady.
Once more,
Inhale.
Light.
Hold.
Exhale any tension or stress you're holding onto.
Now let's shift into a breath that awakens joy.
Inhale for a count of four.
Hold for two.
And exhale for a long six counts.
Let the long exhale be a soft release.
Again,
In for four.
Hold for two.
Out slowly for six.
With each breath you take,
Imagine golden light entering your body,
Spreading warmth and joy through your chest,
Your spine,
Your hands.
And on the exhale,
Release anything that might dull your light or your joy.
So just repeat this breath in your own time now,
And just let it bring clarity,
Softness,
And joy.
Inhale.
Hold.
Exhale.
Once more in your own time.
Wonderful.
Now just resume your natural breathing pattern.
Now gently shift into this simple morning scene.
You are walking barefoot through a soft meadow bathed in first light.
The grass is cool with dew,
And each droplet is like a sparkling gem.
As you step,
The earth greets you,
And your feet seem to remember the joy of this connection.
Birdsong floats through the air.
Butterflies dance at eye level.
You take your time.
Every breath you take feels like a celebration.
You pause by a small stream,
Its waters laughing gently as they move.
You reach down and touch the cool surface.
It feels like blessing.
It is a blessing.
This meadow is your joy.
It's wild and tamed,
Not needing explanation.
So let yourself stay here.
Soak in the beauty.
And let your beautiful heart be filled.
Wonderful.
Now just come back to the present moment.
Just come back to your soft,
Gentle breath.
So what small things have brought you joy lately?
A kind word?
A favorite song?
A walk in nature?
Sometimes joy is quiet.
Sometimes it hums rather than sings.
But just bring to mind one moment of recent joy.
Feel it.
Expand it and just let it live in you.
Feel it in your heart.
If nothing comes,
That's okay too.
You can plant the seeds of joy now.
Even noticing beauty is a beautiful beginning.
So breathe in this affirmation now.
Joy lives in me.
I welcome it with gratitude and let it guide my day.
Repeat.
Joy lives in me.
I welcome it with gratitude and let it guide my day.
Let it echo through you.
Even if you don't fully feel it,
Let it be an offering to your heart.
As this morning's journey begins to close,
Take another breath in through your nose and out through your mouth.
Feel your body supported.
Feel your breath alive.
And feel joy,
Not forced but softly present.
Remember,
Joy isn't something you have to earn.
You are allowed to feel good.
You're allowed to smile,
To laugh,
To dance,
To feel the spark of possibility.
So just let today be colored by this quiet joy.
Maybe it's in your steps.
Maybe in your eyes.
Maybe in the way you pause and notice something beautiful.
Because you are a part of the wonder of this world.
And you are joy in motion.
So thank you for meeting this moment with such presence.
And may joy follow you like the sun follows the morning.
Namaste,
My friend.
Namaste.
