Welcome to the wisdom of trees.
A short guided reflection.
I'm so glad you've chosen to pause with me today.
So,
Have you ever stood beside a tree and simply noticed its presence?
Without saying a word,
A tree has such a quiet way of reminding us to slow down.
Because it never rushes the changing seasons.
It doesn't compare itself with the trees around it.
It simply grows.
One day at a time.
One season at a time.
And maybe there is wisdom in that.
Research has shown that spending time among trees can really help to reduce stress.
Support our well-being and restore a sense of calm.
Even looking at trees.
Imagining yourself in nature can really help to settle your busy mind.
And maybe that's because trees ask nothing of us.
They simply invite us to be.
So,
For the next few moments,
Just find a comfortable position,
Warm and cozy,
And settle in.
Feel your body softening.
Your shoulders dropping down from your ears.
Now you see yourself standing beside a beautiful mature tree.
Notice its strong trunk.
Its branches that are reaching effortlessly towards the sky.
And its roots stretching deep into the earth.
Take a slow,
Comfortable breath in.
And gently breathe out.
Producing any stress or tension.
As you continue to breathe softly and gently.
Feel your feet becoming steady just as the tree is so steady.
Your breath is becoming slow and natural now.
Your shoulders are softening further.
And you are tuning into this moment.
And you realize that this tree has stood through sunshine,
Strong winds,
Those heavy rainfalls and still it remains.
Pisidium.
Maybe we are more like trees than we realize.
Because life brings seasons for all of us.
Whether that's times of growth.
Times of rest.
Times of just letting go.
And those times when we begin again.
So take one more slow breath in.
And just ask yourself quietly.
What qualities of the tree would I like to carry with me today?
And breathe out.
Softly and gently.
Reflect on that question for a moment.
It could be patience.
Strength.
Flexibility.
Or maybe that feeling of stillness within.
Or maybe a quiet confidence.
Is no right answer,
But just simply notice what arises for you for today.
As you continue with your beautiful day.
Whenever you pass a tree.
Just allow it to be a gentle reminder.
To pause.
To breathe.
And to return to the steady wisdom that already lives within you.
So,
Thank you so much for sharing these few moments with me today.
And until next time.
You stand a little taller.
Breathe a little deeper.
And remember that even in those changing seasons,
You are continuing to grow in your own beautiful way.
So take gentle care of yourself.
Namaste,
My friend.
