Welcome to day two of our three-day spring series.
Today we will look at being the sprout.
I invite you to return to stillness,
Allowing everything to settle.
Feel yesterday's roots holding you steady.
Your body soft.
Eyes may be closed or soften the gaze,
Whatever is most comfortable.
We will begin ready to rise,
Noticing your breath.
No need to change it.
Observing.
Noticing how your body feels as you're settling in.
And now with gentle,
Soft movement,
I invite you to inhale.
Inhale possibility and then exhale resistance.
You are ready for first light.
We will begin by breathing in for five counts,
Holding for a count,
And then breathing out for five.
Let us begin.
Breathing in,
Two,
Three,
Four,
Hold.
And breathing out,
Two,
Three,
Four,
Five,
Holding.
Breathing in,
Two,
Three,
Holding.
Breathing out,
Two,
Three,
Folding.
Breathing in,
Two,
Three,
Four,
Folding.
Breathing out,
Two,
Three,
Four,
Five,
Holding.
Breathing in,
Two,
Three,
Four,
Five,
Holding.
Breathing out,
Two,
Three,
Four,
Five.
One more time.
Breathing in,
Two,
Three,
Four,
Five.
Breathing out,
Two,
Three,
Four,
Five.
And then returning to your own natural rhythm of breathing.
Taking a moment to notice how you feel.
And then allow yourself to feel faint warmth stirring deep within your seed.
Your seed from the day before where we became the seed.
Something ancient responds,
Not with force,
But curiosity.
A tiny shoot presses gently toward the light.
Scanning upward from your roots,
Your legs drawing foundations,
Your belly soft openings being open,
Your chest expanding toward the morning,
And arms reaching without restraint.
This is your body rising,
Rising to meet the sun.
There's a thawing,
Feeling winter's hardness often,
Forehead smooths,
Jaw releases.
Opening your heart,
Allowing the sunlight to find every light place,
Every tight place,
Allowing it to help melt and warm and awaken each part of you.
Feeling that warmth.
This is your nature to reach,
To soften,
To become.
No rush,
No form,
Only natural unfolding.
You were made for the light.
Allowing yourself to hold the light.
Resting here between earth and sky,
Rooted,
Rising,
Ready.
The sprout doesn't question spring and neither must you.
Resting in the warmth,
Knowing that you will begin rising just like that of the sprout.
On your next inhale,
I invite you to take a deep inhale in,
Counting to six,
Two,
Three,
Four,
Five,
Six,
And then let it go,
Two,
Three,
Four,
Five,
Six.
Returning back to your own natural rhythm of breathing,
And inviting movement back into your body.
Gently wiggling your fingers,
Your toes,
Rolling your shoulders.
Feel your whole body alive,
Noticing this,
Resting in it.
You are ready,
And I invite you to carry this upward energy into your day,
Reminding yourself that you are the sprout,
Light moves through you now.
