Finding stability,
A meditation on balancing the root chakra.
Welcome to this guided meditation focused on the root.
The root chakra is known as the Mulidhara chakra,
Which is located at the base of the spine and is associated with our sense of safety,
Security and stability.
This chakra is the foundation of the chakra system and is responsible for grounding us and connecting us to the Earth's energy.
By practicing this meditation,
You can help to balance and activate the root,
Allowing you to feel more grounded,
Centered and secure in your life.
We will be focusing on visualization and affirmation work.
Begin by finding a comfortable seated position,
Either on the floor or a chair.
Take as much time as you need so that you are comfortable and you can try to maintain stillness for the 15-20 minutes of our meditation.
Resting your hands on your knees with your palms facing down,
Closing your eyes,
Taking a few deep mindful breaths,
Inhaling through your nose and exhaling through your mouth.
Allowing your breath to become steady and calm,
Imagining a golden wire from the base of your spine rooting you down to the center of the Earth.
This wire comes up through the spine and roots you toward the sky.
As you lengthen on this cord,
The spine straightens,
Sitting a bit taller,
With relaxed shoulders and a calming breath.
Visualize a red ball of energy at the base of your spine,
At the location of the root chakra.
This red ball of energy represents your sense of safety,
Security and stability.
As you focus on this ball of energy,
Imagine it growing and expanding with each inhale,
Becoming brighter and more vibrant.
As you exhale,
Imagine any negative or stagnant energy being released from the root chakra,
Allowing it to open and flow freely.
With each inhale,
Allow yourself to become more rooted and grounded,
Feeling a sense of safety and security within yourself and the world around you.
Expel all of your breath out of your body now,
And inhale for a count of 5.

Continue to breathe,
Counting your breath,
Softening the front of the neck,
Chest,
Belly,
Relaxing your glutes,
Lower back,
Mid to upper back.
As you continue to focus on your breath and the red ball of energy,
Repeat the following affirmations to yourself.
We will go through each one together three times.
I am grounded and connected to the Earth's energy.
I am grounded and connected to the Earth's energy.
Inhale fully through the nose.
Exhale out of the mouth.
Relax your body as best as you can as we continue.
I trust in my ability to provide for myself and create a stable foundation in my life.
I trust in my ability to provide for myself and create a stable foundation in my life.
I trust in my ability to provide for myself and create a stable foundation in my life.
Inhale through the nose,
Feeling these statements resonating with your whole being and exhale out of the mouth.
Come back to the red ball of energy.
I release any fears or insecurities that are holding me back.
I release any fears or insecurities that are holding me back.
I release any fears or insecurities that are holding me back.
Counting your breath for five on each inhale,
Each hold,
And each exhale.
I am strong,
Stable,
And grounded in who I am.
I am strong,
Stable,
And grounded in who I am.
I am strong,
Stable,
And grounded in who I am.
Lengthening your spine and visualizing that red ball of energy.
Feeling it balance the mind and the body.
Taking this time to scan from the crown of the head to the tips of the toes,
Bringing more attention toward your spine.
Noticing if there is any heat,
Tingling sensations,
Throbbing,
Or a sense of coolness.
Just notice it.
Whenever your mind wanders,
Acknowledge it and bring yourself back to this moment.
Continuing to either scan your body or count your breath,
Whichever technique is more of use to you today in this moment.
You have three minutes on your own.
I will connect with you shortly.
You are now halfway through.
Taking a few more mindful breaths on your own.
Whichever affirmation has stood out to you today,
Hold onto it for the remainder of the week.
I am safe and secure in my body and in my environment.
I am grounded and connected to the Earth's energy.
I trust in my ability to provide for myself and create a stable foundation in my life.
I release any fears or insecurities that are holding me back.
I am strong,
Stable,
And grounded in who I am.
Shoulders up to the earlobes on an inhale.
Exhale out of the mouth.
You did great today.
Take as long as you need.
Only when you are ready,
You can slowly start to open your eyes.
Bowing the chin down toward the chest,
Lengthening the cervical spine.
Take three more full body breaths to lengthen your spine.
You are welcome to stay for a few more minutes.
Know that you can return to this meditation whenever you need to feel more grounded and centered.
Remembering that every day is different on each sit.
