Welcome to Walking the Labyrinth Path of Release.
At different points in our life,
We may discover that we are carrying thoughts,
Emotions,
Memories,
Or disappointments that once had meaning but are now weighing us down.
The labyrinth has long served as a sacred symbol of journey,
Reflection,
And transformation,
Offering a path inward toward clarity and a path outward toward renewal.
Whether walked in the world or imagined within the heart.
Labyrinth can help quiet the mind.
Soften what feels heavy.
An open space for peace.
I invite you to step onto the labyrinth path with me.
Allowing it to guide you gently toward release,
Lightness,
And a deeper sense of harmony.
Let's begin by settling in.
Let your body find a position that feels supported and comfortable.
Allow your eyes to close or soften your gaze.
Notice the places where your body meets the surface beneath you.
Let yourself be held here.
Take three deep breaths.
Inhale slowly.
Filling the body with fresh air.
Exhale gently.
Releasing the day.
Again,
Breathe in and let the breath create a little more space inside.
Breathe out,
Softening the shoulders,
The jaw,
The belly.
One more deep breath in,
Arriving fully in this moment.
As you exhale,
Feel yourself becoming present.
Now imagine yourself standing at the edge of a quiet forest.
The air is nature fresh and cool.
Tall trees rise around you,
Their branches moving gently overhead.
You hear the soft sounds of nature.
Leaves stirring,
Birds calling in the distance,
Perhaps the faint movement of water somewhere nearby.
A few steps ahead,
You notice an opening in the trees.
As you move toward it,
A labyrinth comes into view.
It's outlined with smooth stones carefully placed along the earth.
The floor of the path is made of crushed stone,
Pale and textured beneath your feet.
A labyrinth is still and waiting.
As if it has been here for a very long time,
Inviting you to begin.
Pause at the opening.
Sense that there is nowhere else you need to be.
There is nothing to solve right now.
Nothing to force.
Nothing to carry except your own honest intention.
When you are ready,
Take the first step onto the path.
Begin walking slowly,
Following the path as it curves and turns.
With each step,
Allow your thoughts and worries to recede.
They don't need to disappear all at once.
They can simply move farther into the background.
Like sounds fading behind you as you walk deeper into the forest.
Feel the texture and hear the sounds of the crushed stone beneath your feet.
Notice the rhythm of walking.
Step by step.
Breath by breath.
You may begin to feel lighter.
The path is clear.
The stones mark the way.
You can't get lost here.
This place is safe.
This walk belongs to you.
As you continue inward.
Let an intention begin to form.
Perhaps there is something you are ready to release.
Something bothersome or burdensome.
The ache of a relationship ending.
A disappointment.
And expectation.
A hurt.
A heaviness you have carried long enough.
You don't need to judge it or explain it.
Simply recognize it.
Let yourself know.
I am ready to let this go.
With each step,
Imagine that what has been heavy begins to loosen.
It may fall from your shoulders.
Release from your chest.
Soften from your hands.
Or drain gently through the soles of your feet into the earth.
The labyrinth receives it without question.
The forest receives it.
You are not required to carry it any farther than this.
The path continues to guide you.
At times it may seem to turn away from the center.
And then,
Naturally,
It turns back again.
Let this remind you that healing does not always move in a straight line.
Still,
You are moving.
Still,
You are arriving.
You exhale fully with a big sigh as you reach the center of the labyrinth.
There is no fanfare,
Just the quiet middle where a simple stone bench awaits you and welcomes you.
You sit upon it and allow yourself to rest and take in this moment,
Appreciating the journey you have been on to get here now in perfect timing.
For a few moments,
Reflect on what is being let go.
Notice what it has meant to you,
How long you may have held it,
And what it is ask of your energy.
Without forcing anything,
Allow it to be released from your body,
Your mind,
And your spirit.
You may imagine placing it on the ground,
Offering it to the earth,
Or watching it dissolve into light.
A space opens up within you.
Sense a new and refreshing energy entering.
It may feel like light,
Warmth,
Breath,
Or quiet spaciousness.
Something inside you begins to feel less crowded.
There is room now.
There is an opening for something different,
Something not yet seen,
Something that does not need to be named before it can begin.
Sense,
Too,
That you are not alone.
Around you are helpful guides and supportive energies,
Gentle presences surrounding this transition.
They do not rush you.
They simply stand with you.
Offering steadiness,
Compassion,
And quiet encouragement for what is coming next.
Rest here for as long as you need.
Receive what is offered.
Feel the spaciousness.
Feel the possibility.
Feel the support that surrounds you.
When you are ready,
Rise from the bench and begin walking back along the path.
The crushed stone is beneath your feet again.
The stones continue to guide you outward,
Step by step,
Breath by breath.
As you walk,
Notice fragrant flowers growing near the edges of the labyrinth.
Their scent moves through the air softly.
The sun shines on your face.
A light breeze touches your skin,
Gentle and reassuring,
As if the universe itself is holding you.
Perhaps these sensations were always here and now there is more room within you to notice them.
Perhaps by releasing what was ready to be released,
You have made space to feel held,
Supported,
And alive in a new way.
With each step outward,
Feel gratitude rising.
Gratitude for the path.
Gratitude for the forest.
Gratitude for the part of you that was willing to let go.
Gratitude for the unknown that is gently yet steadily approaching.
At last you arrive again at the opening of the labyrinth.
Pause here.
Turn back for a moment in your imagination and honor the journey you have taken.
Notice what feels different now.
Notice what feels lighter.
Begin to return your awareness to the present moment.
Feel the support beneath your body.
Notice the room around you.
Listen for the sounds nearby.
Take a slow breath in.
And a gentle breath out.
When you're ready.
Wiggle your fingers and toes.
Let your eyes open or lift your gaze.
Bring back with you the spaciousness,
The support and the gratitude of a labyrinth.
You have made space.
You have returned.
