If you're with me today,

It's possibly because you're feeling grey.

We all feel that drag backwards sometimes.

The world is against us,

Not for us.

We learn to smile for a while and then life brings another huge disappointment.

Another comparison.

Another challenge.

How can we keep digging deep to find the energy to keep going when we are so tired?

The answer?

You don't dig anymore.

You just stop.

Because you are capable and brilliant and you deserve some time to yourself so that you can remember what you were made of.

So this is for you.

If you're cloudy right now,

Let's see if we can clear things up a bit.

I'm Amy and I will be guiding you today.

Come and sit or lie down in a comfortable position,

In a room or a place where you won't be disturbed.

For the next 10 minutes or so,

There is nowhere that you need to be apart from here with me in this moment.

Close your eyes now and we're going to start feeling the incredible creation that is your body.

Let's start with a few deep breaths.

Breathing in now.

Feeling the air rush into your lungs,

Holding it at the top and now breathing out.

Let's do that again.

Breathing in.

Breathing out.

You are in control.

One more breath in.

Hold.

And let your breath out.

Now let's turn our thoughts to the body.

How do your shoulders feel right now?

Are they tight?

Is one higher than the other?

Can you relax them?

Drop them down.

Good.

What about your arms?

How do your arms feel?

Feel the weight of your arms supported now.

Relax your fingers.

Allow your palms to soften.

In this moment,

There is nothing that you need to carry.

Let gravity take over and carry you.

Moving into your core.

Take a deep breath into your ribs.

And release.

Bring your mind to your back.

Your lower back.

Can you relax it deeper?

And your hips.

The hips that support your weight every day.

Let's let them feel heavy now.

Slowly moving down your legs.

Relaxing the top of the legs.

The knees.

Releasing any tension.

Along through the lower legs and calves.

Finally,

Relaxing your ankles.

Your feet.

Your toes.

Let it all go now.

Imagine that you are walking across a wide open field of dark green grass.

Your feet are bare.

And the blades of grass feel crunchy beneath your toes.

Grounding you to the earth below.

The air around you is silent yet familiar.

You know this feeling as the calm before a storm.

You breathe in and you feel a rush of fresh air inwards.

Like you're inhaling the energy that's around you,

About to release.

You can smell that distinct earthiness that hangs in the atmosphere.

A blanket of clouds are above you.

Stretching as far as you can see.

A swirling mix of grey,

Black,

White.

The rain is coming.

You feel drops hit your shoulders.

The top of your head.

Your nose.

You just stand here.

Stand in the rain.

As it pours down,

You realise it's here to cleanse you.

To envelop you.

To remind you that you are connected to it.

And it is connected to you.

You don't care how wet you're getting.

You smile.

And let it wash over you.

It's just you.

And the storm.

And the earth.

As one.

As you stand here.

You notice that the rain is beginning to pass.

And the clouds above you are beginning to thin.

Behind the blanket of clouds above.

Is the sun.

The warm,

Bright sun.

Peeking through.

And now.

As you stand here.

In this field of green grass.

Soaked from the storm that just was.

You suddenly see a rainbow.

Red.

White.

As bright as the juiciest strawberry you've ever eaten.

The colour of love.

Every heart you ever drew.

And sent to a valentine.

Orange.

The colour of fire.

The colour of water.

The sun.

A magnificent sphere of light.

That exists to fuel our bodies with vitamins,

Warmth and hope.

A core ingredient in the recipe of life.

Here on earth.

Yellow.

Blue.

Butter melting onto hot sweetcorn.

A pair of wellington boots splashing in the rain.

That joyful duck you played with in the bath as a child.

The buttercup that you reflected on your chin.

Green.

A colour that connects every plant on this planet.

From the seaweed that dances in the waves of our oceans.

To the tallest leaf.

On the tallest branch.

Of the tree that you used to climb.

Blue.

Our sky.

Our beautiful sky.

Ever moving.

Ever powerful.

Ever changing.

Pink.

The colour of kisses.

Of flirtations.

Of dancing.

Huge bubblegum pops.

And neon lights.

And purple.

The colour that the earth shows us before thunder and lightning.

Humbling us.

And reminding us.

That we are here for only a short time.

That we are small.

But oh so powerful.

And as this rainbow stretches across the sky.

High above you.

You feel grateful to see it.

Thankful to exist.

And happy to be here.

Focusing on my voice.

Filled with a new sense of gratitude.

And gratitude.

Awe and calm.

We're going to slowly come back to our physical bodies.

And the room or place that you are in now.

Let's gently start to move our fingers.

Our toes.

And take a stretch out if we need to.

Your eyes have been closed for a while.

But even without them open.

You don't need to see.

To feel the colour that's always all around you.

You are welcome to come back to this meditation any time you need to be reminded of that.

Let's take one last deep breath in together.

And out.

And now.

Let's open our eyes.

Welcome home.

Let's end this meditation with what you need to hear today.

A rainbow will appear for you.

After the rain.

You've got this.
