Hello again and welcome.
This video is called Why is there an impulse?
To be more.
Have you ever noticed the impulse,
The drive to do or be more?
More successful,
More content.
More confident,
More considerate.
More patient.
They can almost always seem to be something to personally improve upon,
Something more to achieve,
Something to become better at.
And this can feel so natural that we really question it.
But what if now we pause to simply ask?
More than what?
And perhaps even more deeply,
Who or what is it that needs or wants to be more.
The separate me-self can feel that it needs to become more.
Because the momentum of doing suggests that something is not enough or could somehow be improved.
So it can be drawn through conditioned beliefs towards a more successful and more peaceful world.
Or a more secure version of itself.
But perhaps there is something else within this impulse to be more.
Something much deeper.
A quiet inner knowing that who we take ourselves to be at purely physical level does not fully express what we timelessly are.
The impulse to be more is not simply about becoming a better version of ourselves.
It can also be a pull towards recognising the more-ness.
Of our true nature.
The fullest expression of what is inherently present.
Yet unseen.
Not something to acquire,
Not something to achieve.
Not something outside of ourselves that we must become.
But that which is already present,
Fully accessible.
Impersonal,
Waiting to be quietly recognized.
There is a boundlessness and spontaneity that cannot be contained within the limiting belief of being a separate self.
And this may be why there can be a deeper impulse to awaken,
To recognize,
To unfold.
Not because something is missing,
But because there is always more of what we truly are to recognize.
So whatever inner pulse there may be to become or to recognise more,
We can simply remain open to the more-ness that is already present.
The more of our infinite being,
The more that cannot be measured.
The more that cannot be contained within a finite image of who we think we are.
And as this recognition deepens Becoming and recognizing are no longer two different things.
You are not becoming something other than your true self.
You are becoming the full recognition and manifestation of what has always been here,
Both form and formless.
Not purely a better self or a larger self.
But the recognition of what has always been present beyond form,
Yet expressing through one's physical nature.
Boundless,
Inseparable,
And infinitely more than the separate finite self could ever imagine.
Allow this recognition to unfold in whatever way it manifests.
The impulse to be more may be an invitation to discover that your more-ness within the mortal form is already here,
Waiting to be recognised.
And in recognizing this one can become the full embodiment of what one has always been.
Boundless being.
Ever-present,
Inseparable,
Whole and spontaneous.
