Hello,
Welcome.
This video is called Is This Moment Enough?
Have you ever noticed how naturally the mind moves towards what comes next?
There is always another moment waiting to arrive,
Another thing to do,
Another place to get to,
Another plan to think about.
And this movement can become so familiar that we hardly notice it.
We are here,
But.
.
.
Some part,
If not all of our attention,
Is already reaching forward.
What comes next?
Where am I going?
What might happen?
Perhaps now this is simply how we have learnt to live.
From an early age,
We are encouraged to move forward.
To achieve,
To improve,
To progress.
To become more.
Now there is nothing inherently wrong with any of this.
Life naturally unfolds.
But what happens when the movement towards what comes next changes?
Become so constant that we rarely discover what it is like to simply be still.
To simply be here.
They can even be a subtle feeling,
A belief,
An undercurrent.
That if we stop reaching forward we might miss something,
We might fall behind.
Life might somehow pass us by.
But what if remaining still,
Being present,
Doesn't mean missing life?
What if for a moment where you are is more than you can imagine?
There is nothing to catch up with in the stillness of one's timeless presence.
In the effortless being of what already is.
Life isn't waiting somewhere ahead for you to arrive.
It is already happening,
Already unfolding,
Right where you are,
All around and within you,
Now.
And this doesn't mean that you stop moving,
Stop creating,
Stop responding or stop allowing life to unfold.
It simply asks something deeper.
Can there be the wholeness of conscious awareness without constantly reaching for something apparently lacking?
Can you be the fullness of being without needing to become something or someone more?
Can you be fully awake to the miracle of this moment without needing to arrive somewhere else?
Can you allow all experiencing to simply unfold?
Rather than continually reaching towards something.
Somewhere else without claiming.
For a moment let the reaching dissolve.
Nothing to anticipate,
Nothing to prepare for.
Nothing to get ahead of.
Just notice this breath.
These sensations,
These sounds,
This seeing,
This hearing.
This inner silence,
This intuitive knowing and pointing.
The fullness of experiencing already happening.
You don't have to make this moment anything more than what it is.
Simply allow it to be whole,
Complete and spacious.
And notice,
When you are not reaching towards the next moment,
What in one's infinite conscious awareness is actually absent from this present moment.
Nothing to catch up with,
Nothing to arrive at.
Nothing outside of this now that needs to become complete.
For it to be whole.
Is this moment not enough?
Not as an idea.
But simply by not asking it to become something else.
Just this moment.
As it is.
Already here.
