Hello again and welcome.
This meditation is called Is Awareness an Experience?
Have you ever wondered where awareness arises?
In this moment,
Notice that you are aware.
Aware of these words,
Aware of this video.
Aware of whatever thoughts may appear.
Everything you experience is spontaneously appearing.
And there is no effort required to be aware of it.
But what is the awareness that is already here?
Can this awareness be something that you can experience?
When there is a thought,
A sensation or a sound,
You are aware of them.
Can you though step aside of awareness to experience them?
Now,
Instead of asking how can I experience awareness,
Notice that awareness is fully present before the question forms.
Awareness does not need to be created,
Found or awakened.
Awareness simply is effortlessly and inseparably present.
This is what makes awareness so easy to overlook.
We are so accustomed to looking,
Finding or understanding something we can experience.
Grasp or find.
Awareness,
However,
Is not another something.
It is not an identifiable object.
Awareness is formless,
With no location.
It is not something that appears within an experience.
Everything we experience,
Including the human condition.
Is inseparably present within awareness.
There is no distance between you and awareness.
Because awareness is not something separate from you.
This may not be something you can logically understand,
For awareness cannot be understood.
It is that presence which one can only recognize quietly,
Directly and impersonally.
This self-recognition is much simpler than one may imagine.
Awareness is your unborn,
Fundamental nature.
The unmoving background behind all experiencing and sensations.
Timelessly,
Effortlessly,
And uniquely present as one's conscious expression.
Everything we experience within the finite is subject to change.
Awareness,
However,
Remains untouched by all experiencing.
So now the question is no longer,
Where does awareness arise?
We will come to recognize that awareness does not arise and it is not separate from the whole.
It is simply present.
Before thought.
Before each moment is named as an experience.
Awareness simply is.
You cannot experience it as you are not separate from it.
Even the thought I am aware is appearing within that which is already aware.
This is the simplicity of self-recognition.
This is the key to the recognition of what has never been absent.
We are so accustomed to looking for something we can see,
Feel or know.
Awareness,
Though,
Cannot be defined as a state.
There is no separate awareness standing apart from life.
There is simply awareness as an inseparable eternal presence.
In which experiencing is effortlessly appearing.
Awareness is what is present,
Already here.
Already what one is.
It is not an experience.
It is what makes experience one's living reality.
Effortlessly present as that which one is.
