Hello.
Welcome.
Take a moment and notice something quite separate from the normal activities of the mind.
You are fundamentally awareness.
Right now,
You're aware of hearing these words.
You may also Be aware of your present location and how it makes you feel.
And yet throughout life,
Despite all that is being experienced.
How often have we noticed a deeper,
Inseparable awareness as a living presence in our lives?
Most of the time we live as though we are a separate someone.
Living in a bigger world than ourselves.
There is me.
And there is the world in which I experience life.
And because of this,
So much of our time is spent self-focused,
Identifying,
Reacting,
Interpreting,
Experiencing,
And organizing.
And yet,
There is something deeper than all of this.
Something that is not compelled to react,
To anticipate,
Interpret,
Do or manage anything.
Now for a moment,
Be absolutely still.
And patiently notice.
Beneath all the activities of the mind.
There is a quiet stillness.
Presence.
This is not something you have to search for,
Because it is already here,
Present.
Within the mind,
Thoughts,
Sensations and feelings arise.
Yet behind all these movements,
All is known.
And what is knowing this quiet presence through which thoughts arise?
One's impersonal awareness.
Awareness is so subtle,
So silent,
That it is mostly unrecognized.
We are more conditioned to the challenges,
Activities,
And doings of life to notice.
So much so that we mostly miss the most subtle elements of our innermost nature.
Awareness.
The mind is active,
Awareness is silent.
The mind projects.
Awareness simply remains quietly present,
Open and free.
The mind interprets.
Awareness does not need to interpret.
For all simply is.
The mind does.
Awareness does not need to do.
Now for a moment stand back from the activities of the mind.
You're not trying to stop thought,
Trying to become peaceful,
Or trying to create a special state.
Simply notice where you are.
Thought is happening.
And you are aware of the mind thinking.
The mind interprets and you are aware of this.
A sensation appears and you are aware of that also.
Even the sense of I am experiencing this is also noticed.
So what happens when you don't immediately follow the projected activities of mind?
You will begin to notice a stillness,
A quiet presence.
Within which awareness was never absent.
It was simply overlooked.
And this invites and opens a far more conscious way of experiencing life.
Rather than I am here experiencing my life.
There is simply experiences appearing temporarily through awareness.
The thought of a me is known.
The body is known.
Everything that appears is appearing through awareness.
This is why awareness can be called your primary experience.
Not because it is another experience you need to have.
But because before you can know any experience at all,
You are already aware.
You don't need to go anywhere to find awareness.
You don't need to become someone who is aware.
It is simply here.
Quietly present.
Through which everything you experience is known.
So for a moment.
.
.
Let the doing be.
Let the mind project whatever it projects.
Let thoughts arise.
Let the world continue moving.
Simply notice.
A quiet inseparable presence.
Through which all of this arises.
Just this quiet presence.
Awareness.
Your primary experience.
