Welcome and thank you for being here with me today.
I welcome you to this morning intention setting with peace and joy and love.
If you join me on my live sessions,
You know that I'm going to say a couple of things here.
Number one,
Before you set your intention for the day,
It is extremely important to clear your mental and physical energy fields.
Oftentimes I work with people who are setting an intention for their meditation session and in the back of the mind,
I can see the wheels turning.
I can see worry.
I can see preoccupation with,
You know,
What am I going to make for dinner?
Oh my goodness,
Did I unplug the coffee maker?
Oh,
My daughter's project is due tomorrow.
We need to stop all that chatter so we can make room for our intention to sit with us and to be fully present with our intention.
You can do many different things to clear your energy and it can be something as simple as a few deep breaths.
Other things you can do include clearing the air with some Palo Santo or a sage smudge.
You can use a chant.
You can use a feather.
There are lots of different tools you can use for this.
Today on this track,
We are going to use a chant.
So the second thing I want to talk about is using a prop for setting your intention.
A stone or a prop will help trigger your brain to bring you back to your intention throughout the day.
So oftentimes I'll encourage people to hold the stone while they take a breath,
A clearing breath,
And then keep that stone in their hand while they speak their intention and then keep that stone in your pocket or on your desk.
And every time you see that stone,
Your mind will come back to your intention.
If you don't have a stone or a flower or a feather or some prayer beads,
You could simply write your intention down on a little piece of paper.
Keep that on your desk,
Tape it to your countertop,
Put it in your car,
Wherever you're going to spend most of your day.
And then when your eyes fall on that piece of paper,
It will bring you back to your intention,
Which will help you to sit with that intention all day long.
So today we're going to clear our energy with a simple chant.
This chant is in Sanskrit.
It's pronounced aham prema.
So what we'll do is take three deep breaths together.
We'll breathe in and on the out breath,
We'll say aham prema.
We'll do that three times.
And then after the third chant is when you should speak your intention out loud.
So here we go,
Breathe in.
Aham prema.
Aham prema.
Aham prema.
Now go ahead and speak your intention out loud.
Or if you're in a place where you can't do that,
Just say it to yourself.
I hope you will come back to this quick little track every day to help you set your morning intention.
I have other intention setting tracks.
This is the one with aham prema,
Which is a Sanskrit phrase that means that helps you open your heart and clear your mind.
It's great for clearing your energy.
Or if you need a break during the day,
You just need to open your heart to accept new things.
Anything like that,
This is a great chant.
I have other intention settings that utilize the tongue drum where there's a minute of music meditation on your intention.
One with the harp.
So please check out my other recordings and use these daily intention settings every morning to help you stay focused on your goals and intentions for the day.
Thank you for being here with me.
May God bless you and keep you.
