Good evening.

Perhaps you are here to settle the mind before sleep,

Or to ease the distracting loud noises that run riot in the mind.

Settle yourself here in a comfortable position to allow for an open receptive state of mind,

Of body and of nervous system.

And just start with a soft breath into your front body.

Using your breath as a tool of self-regulation.

A soft breath into your chest.

As it greets you in perhaps internal intensity,

Or inner turmoil,

Or just loud busy thoughts,

Let this soft breath meet your chest.

If you are already lying down,

Find yourself here taking up more space.

Spread out.

Arms,

Legs,

Picking up the back of your head and placing it back down.

Allowing your body to start this process of unravelling and releasing.

With your next breath,

Start to acknowledge wherever you feel this tension in your mind or in your body.

Using your breath as your soft anchor.

And a refuge for your loud,

Busy,

Tired mind and body.

As we allow the restless,

Contracted state to ease as you meet yourself here in expansion.

The residue of recent happenings.

The overthinking of conversations previous.

The worry of tasks,

To-dos.

The unnecessary self-punishment for the lack of,

Or beating yourself up for not doing.

Here you are,

Receptive to easing those burdens.

Opening to a soft state that feeds so much goodness back inward.

Your body resting.

Your mind accepting that you have done enough.

That this residue of tension is your pointer to refill your cup.

We cannot function from contraction.

So just gently taking another soft,

Nourishing breath into your chest.

Filling you up with all that you need to relieve or to release.

And to just be.

A whole being body experience.

With tension melting away with every breath.

Conscious and subconscious.

With every moment of you in your relaxed body.

A release.

A relief.

For your nervous system.

And for your rest.
