Find a quiet space,
Where you won't be disturbed.
Sit comfortably with your back straight,
But relaxed.
Close your eyes,
And now take a deep breath in,
And slowly exhale.
Breathe in,
And exhale out.
As you breathe in,
Notice now the cool air entering your nose.
And as you breathe out,
Feel the warmth leaving your body.
Breathe in,
Let the cool air flow freely within your body.
And breathe out,
Letting go of anything that no longer serves you.
There's no need to change your breath,
Simply observe it.
If your mind starts to wander,
Gently bring your focus back to your breath.
Each inhale anchors you in the present moment,
And each exhale helps you release tension.
Stay here for a few minutes,
Simply breathing and being.
Only when you're ready,
You can welcome some movement into your body,
By wiggling your fingers and toes.
You can even rub your palms together,
And place your hands above your eyes,
To allow them to readjust to the light of your place,
Slowly.
When you feel ready,
You can just look into your palms,
With a soft gaze,
And slide your palms down into prayer pose.
Being thankful to yourself,
For taking this little time just for yourself,
You can now return to your day,
With a sense of calm and clarity.
