Welcome to 2026, my friends! Sending you all the best wishes for the new year and with that, here’s a little practice to help you set an intention and watch it grow throughout this year. Return to it as often as you need to stay motivated, because there’s no time like the present to start something new. Thanks for stopping by!

Hey there,

Let's take a few moments to pause and breathe as we step into this new year.

Find a comfy seat or cozy resting position.

Let your spine lengthen just a little.

Let your shoulders soften down.

Take a deep breath in through your nose and slow,

Easy breath out through the mouth.

Let this next breath remind you that you're here,

Right now,

In a brand new moment.

And as with most new beginnings,

There's often a pressure to set big goals or make bold changes.

But today,

We're focusing on planting gentle intentions to keep your motivation going strong.

So take another slow breath in,

And as you exhale,

Let the noise of I should do this and I must become that,

Let those shoulds and musts become quieter and fade away.

When you're ready,

Bring to mind what really matters to you.

What quality do you want to encourage and grow this year?

Maybe it's creativity,

Bravery,

Or persistence.

Whatever it is,

Let that word rise naturally in your mind.

Imagine that intention taking root inside you,

Steady and grounded.

It doesn't need to bloom yet.

For now,

Simply trust that it's growing quietly beneath the surface.

Imagine your breath being the pot and soil for this intention to root in.

Imagine your heartbeat watering and nourishing it.

And let your attitude and thoughts be its sunshine and fertilizer.

Each inhale brings in fresh energy and vitality.

And each exhale clears away debris,

Making space.

See yourself truly rooted and grounded and alive with this intention.

And you're ready to move into this new year with a strong,

Confident connection to what really matters most to you.

Take one more deep breath in and a long breath out.

Slowly return to the room around you.

And remember your intention that's firmly planted and rooted within,

Growing with every single breath.

You don't need to rush or force anything.

Just keep tending to what matters to you,

One small breath at a time.

And until next time,

Have a good one.
