Hey there,
Today's short practice is here to help you unwind.
Summer has a funny way of stretching the day.
The extra sunlight invites us to keep going.
And sometimes we forget to slow down.
Let's start lying down or leaning back in a comfy spot.
Take your time settling in.
Finding what feels good for you right now Maybe propping your knees up with a pillow.
Or however you can really enjoy these next few minutes.
Take a few deep,
Settling breaths.
Full inhale in.
Slow exhale out.
Keep going.
And let each breath become just a little slower,
A little softer.
There's no rush here.
As you enjoy the feeling of your body letting go.
And relaxing.
Sinking into the surface beneath you.
Feeling your chest and belly rising and falling.
Into a sweet rhythm with your breath.
Imagine the warmth of the evening Sun resting gently on your body.
As the sun slowly sinks below the horizon.
Allow your body to settle with it.
Dissolving any tension or discomfort.
Starting at your toes,
Moving up through the feet and legs.
Feel a warm sensation traveling up through the body a sense of ease and space.
Rising through your hips,
Your waist,
Your back.
A feeling of relaxation washes away any discomfort.
As it moves up through the upper back and chest.
It spreads through your shoulders,
Down the arms,
Into your hands.
All the way to your fingertips.
Soothing any tightness.
A sense of relief and stillness settles in your heart and body.
Let this calmness continue flowing up the neck and throat.
Into the head and face.
To the very top of your head.
Melting and softening everything Allow the thoughts of today to soften too.
Giving your mind permission to slow down in their own time.
Let your body rest further into the surface.
There's nowhere else you need to be right now.
Simply giving your body and mind a chance to rest and wind down.
The day has done its work.
Now it's your turn to rest.
We'll end our time together now,
But take as long as you need here.
Pause the video if you have to for a little more peace and quiet.
Carry a little of this calm with you as the rest of your evening unfolds.
And until next time,
Have a good one.
