Hey there,
I've got a short nature visualization guided practice today to promote relaxation.
So gently gather yourself into a comfy seat of choice,
Making sure you're warm and cozy,
And take a few settling and cleansing breaths.
Breathe in,
Breathe out.
To soften the body,
Calm the mind,
Breathe in,
Breathe out,
Open the heart,
And let go of what's not needed for right now.
And again,
Breathing in and breathing out,
Nourishing your whole being.
Once you feel a little more settled and grounded,
Allow your breath to find its natural flow.
In your mind's eye,
Picture trees all around you,
All kinds of kinds,
Different sizes and shapes,
And see the sunlight glistening through the leaves,
All the various shades and colors.
As the leaves ebb and flow with the wind,
Feel this gentle breeze on your skin.
You're walking along the softest soil beneath you,
Listening to the birds chirping high above and close by,
Serenading you into calmness.
You feel so relaxed and serene in this place.
As you walk in this peaceful forest,
You settle into a nice,
Easy pace.
You observe and take in your beautiful surroundings,
Breathing in the fresh,
Clean air.
This place soothes you to the core,
Deep in your soul.
You feel at peace,
And the sensation of tranquility rises within you.
In our busy day-to-day,
We can forget to be mindful of our surroundings.
And although you're only imagining this time in nature,
You're allowing yourself an opportunity to be mindful and present.
Taking a moment to find peace and serenity at your own pace,
In your own time,
Even if it's not real,
It feels good and calming.
When you're ready to return,
Gently bring some life back to your limbs.
Move and wiggle,
Shake and jiggle your fingers and toes,
And everything in between.
Spend a quiet moment taking in your surroundings,
Taking in the shapes and colors,
Textures and sounds in your vicinity,
Scanning your environment,
Feeling fully at peace and alive in this moment.
Take one more deep breath in as you end this practice.
Remember,
You can return to this place and to this meditation anytime you need to relax and enjoy a bit of nature.
And until next time,
Have a good one.
