This is a meditation to cultivate energetic boundaries for yourself.
And you can use this meditation as many times as you like,
But once you understand the process,
You can do it on your own.
And feel free to make flourishes or adjustments as feels intuitively correct for you.
But begin by closing your eyes and remembering your body.
And let your body remember your breath.
Big soft belly,
Big soft heart.
Allowing your body and your breath to do that ancient dance of inhale and exhale.
Receiving and letting go.
And as you breathe inside your body,
See if you can start to inhabit more than just your head space.
Can you sink down into your heart?
Into your belly and your pelvis?
Can you feel yourself in your fingertips,
The palms of your hands?
Feel yourself in your hips and your knees and your ankles.
Feel yourself in your feet.
Feel your feet on the floor.
Allow your body to be reconnected to the earth.
And as you begin to feel yourself inside this beautiful vessel that is your body,
Start to call out to any of your energy that is not with you in this moment.
Wherever your power and your presence,
Your essence and your authenticity might be scattered throughout space and time,
Just call it all back to you now.
Now.
Now.
And give yourself permission to feel and sense.
Visualize,
Imagine how you return to yourself.
You don't need to know where the energy was or get wrapped up in a story about why it was there.
Just let the wisdom of your heart reach out and gather you up from wherever you might have been.
Notice what it feels like to begin to have more of yourself available.
Here you are,
In your body,
Connected to the earth we call home,
Receiving your own power.
And from this place,
Let us begin to visualize our boundaries.
Your boundaries are an egg-shaped orb of energy that surrounds you completely.
It goes beneath your feet and above your head,
360 degrees of gold or rainbow or silver light.
Just allow yourself to see and sense,
Visualize and imagine this boundary around you.
And it's okay if you feel like you're just making it up.
Make it up.
You can see the boundary from the outside as if you were looking in,
But you can also see the boundary from the inside as if you could turn your head all the way around,
Seeing the sides and the back,
Looking up to the ceiling of the boundary and looking down to the floor.
Your awareness and your intention to create the boundary is enough.
Trust that.
Keep breathing,
Stay rooted and continue to sense and create this boundary.
And if you notice any resistance,
Just put that aside to be explored at a later date.
For now,
You are single-focused,
Creating this beautiful luminous boundary around you.
So you now have this boundary around you,
This egg-shaped orb of light.
And maybe it feels flimsy,
Maybe you notice there are patches or cracks,
That's okay.
What you're going to do now is connect with a power.
A power can be your higher self,
A power can be your understanding of the God or Goddess,
The universe,
The compassionate cosmos.
A power can be the Earth or a luminous ancestor,
An angelic presence or an animal power,
An elemental power.
It could even be a tree that you know and trust.
But just take a moment to connect with that power.
And then ask that power to drop its form and fortify your boundaries.
And then ask that power to release,
Fortify,
Fortify,
Fortify.
And just notice what happens.
What do you feel?
What do you sense?
Inviting in a divine power to help strengthen the separation between you and all that is.
A boundary is like a cell wall.
It knows what to let in and it knows what to keep out and it's flexible.
So now that you've set your boundary and asked a power to fortify it,
You can trust that it's there,
At least for the rest of the day.
And the more that you tend to this boundary,
The more it will serve you,
The more it will keep you safe and protected.
It can prevent especially those of us who are really sensitive from taking on energies that don't belong to us.
And even inside your boundary,
You can still continue to call out to those parts of yourself that maybe are still traveling across space and time to reach you.
And they can easily move through the boundary.
And you might go one step further now and ask your body to release any energy that isn't yours.
You might even say out loud,
Body,
Please release any energy that isn't mine.
Body,
Please release any energy that isn't mine.
And notice how that energy easily moves through your boundary and out somewhere else.
And maybe you feel lighter,
More peaceful or present.
That's the practice.
Feeling yourself inside your body,
Connecting your body to the earth,
Calling back any of your energy or power that isn't with you.
Setting the boundary,
Asking a beloved power to fortify it.
And then possibly releasing any energy that doesn't belong to you.
Finish with a moment of gratitude for your body,
For your heart.
Gratitude for the spirit of the earth and the spirit of the sky.
Gratitude for the spirits of the land where you live,
For the first human ancestors that lived on the land you call home today.
You are blessed and you are tremendously valuable.
