Getting yourself in a comfortable position,
Either laying down,
Sitting in a chair,
Or on the ground.
Finding a space with little to no distractions if possible.
Closing your eyes,
Getting yourself in the most comfortable position possible.
Letting your muscles,
Your bones,
Your body,
And mind relax.
Beginning to take a few deep breaths,
Filling your lungs and chest with fresh air.
Holding for a moment,
And out through your mouth,
Releasing the breath along with any tension,
Any worries,
Any stresses.
Attachments that are in your body and muscles.
Taking another deep breath in through your nose,
Feeling the vital energy of the air filling into your lungs.
Now pulsing into all of your muscles and the rest of your body.
And hold for a moment,
And out through your mouth,
Releasing any excess energy that is not yours.
Anything that doesn't belong to you,
Attachments and expectations from tasks and people in your daily life.
And one last time,
Taking a deep breath in through your nose,
Filling those lungs and feeling the flow of the oxygen pulsing through the rest of your ligaments and body.
Now flowing up into your mind,
And hold for a moment,
And out through your mouth,
Fully letting go.
Releasing the tension in your muscles,
Feeling your mind relaxing,
Returning to your own natural rhythm.
Feeling your muscles relaxing and decontracting,
Returning yourself back to your own core,
Your own energy,
Your natural rhythm of breath.
Now you find yourself in a small secluded cabin in the middle of the woods.
It's quite chilly outside as the winter begins to make its arrival.
You're sitting next to a roaring fire in this cabin,
In a beautiful fireplace.
You can feel the warmth of the fire on your skin.
Here you sit on a blanket,
Taking the warmth of this beautiful element.
The full moon is shining its bright light through the windows,
Representing the arrival of winter,
Slowing down general activity and growth in nature.
Also representing the same in our lives.
The moon's light might also touch your skin,
Providing you with additional warmth,
Feeling the coziness,
The comfort,
The safety amidst the cold breezy chill that is outside.
As you sit here,
Feel yourself settle into your own body,
Into your muscles,
Into your natural rhythm.
Slowing yourself down along with the winter season,
Grounding and reconnecting within yourself,
Your mind,
Body and soul.
Winter represents a time of going within,
Slowing down,
Getting cozy in our homes and a time of deep introspection and reflection.
With this full moon being in Gemini,
You might feel yourself a little agitated,
A little restless.
With its airy energy of wanting to move and needing the mental stimulation.
This full moon can be quite challenging as we get pulled to slow down for winter's arrival,
But the moon in Gemini gives us an energy of wanting to communicate,
To move,
Focus on the little details.
This is a restless energy unable to handle slow movement.
And if you're feeling that energy,
That's okay.
These are some indicators of what we need to release as we prepare for the winter season.
What types of agitations,
Feelings of restlessness,
Nervousness,
Anxiety,
Distractions and unease.
What of these are we needing to let go as we move into a season that asks us to slow down,
Reflect,
Go within and introspect.
And some of you might feel this frustration,
This agitation boiling up to the surface right now.
Feeling like you don't want to slow down.
You don't want your energy to wane.
That's normal and that's okay.
Allow these feelings to come up to the surface and allow yourself to fully feel them.
To come to acceptance,
Compassion and empathy for yourself about how you feel about this slowing down.
It takes patience and is not always an easy thing to do,
Especially living in a society that values great speed.
Allowing these emotions,
The restlessness,
The agitation,
The flightiness,
Whatever it is,
Rise up to the surface,
Meeting at your skin.
Where the full moon's light is touching your body and your skin,
It begins to pull these feelings out through your muscles,
Seeping out of your bones,
Your body and mind,
Through your skin and being pulled up towards the full moon.
You might see steam seeping out of your muscles as a sign of this release or maybe a black smoke or fog.
You might just feel a weight suddenly drop from your body,
A burden being lifted from specific parts of your mind and your muscles.
Or maybe you get intuitive hits or messages of what exactly is being brought up to the surface,
Enabling you to have an understanding and an acknowledgement to be able to let it go and allowing the moon to pull these out of you.
Feel the warmth of the moon as it pulls on your muscles,
Body and mind,
Taking out excess energies and feelings that are not serving you,
Allowing you to settle more deeply into your own body,
Into your own mind,
Preparing you for the slowing down of energy and action during this upcoming season,
Rooting you into yourself and your home with every release from the full moon,
Feeling yourself connect more deeply within.
Take a few moments here to observe,
Feel and body embrace this experience of the full moon pulling these energies out of you,
Preparing you for the winter season,
Grounding you into yourself,
Allowing you to reflect.
See what comes up,
Observe,
Feel and body.
Allow.
