Beginning by simply bringing the awareness to the present now.
This breath.
This heartbeat.
This stillness here.
Simply resting into this moment,
Allowing the eyes to soften,
The shoulders gently softening,
At ease in this moment,
At ease in this moment.
And in this space,
Here and now,
Notice a door way off in the distance.
Perhaps you can see it in your mind's eye,
Way off in the distance.
Perhaps you can observe what's around you in this space.
Begin to slowly approach this door,
Slowly moving through the space between you and this door.
Seeing what you're seeing,
Feeling what you're feeling,
Moving slowly.
As you approach the door,
Pause to observe the shape,
The color,
The feeling,
The surroundings.
Trust what you see,
Trust what you feel,
Trust what you hear.
Simply noticing on the other side of this door,
There is an ancestor,
A family member,
Or a special person.
You may know this person,
You may not.
When you're ready,
Open or step through the door and see who's on the other side.
See what you're seeing,
Feel what you're feeling.
You might notice how this person is positioned,
How this person looks,
Feels.
Tune in to how you feel and what's arising in you as you witness this person.
Trust what arises here.
Ask this person,
What do you wish to share or what is your message for me?
Ask this person what they would like to share or what their message is for you.
Trust what arises here.
Observe how this feels.
Perhaps their message is in words,
In an image,
A feeling,
A glance.
It may be clear,
It may be subtle.
And when you're ready,
Thank this person,
Even if it's difficult.
Thank this person.
Step back through the door or close the door.
And only when you're ready,
Open your eyes and return to the space in which you sit.
