“Grandmother Spider Prayer” by Lindsay Luise Abromaitis-Smith speaks to the power of radical self-love, acceptance, and surrender during times of uncertainty. Lindsay is an artist, writer, herbalist, and 10-year ALS warrior. As she learns to physically manifest differently, Lindsay teaches that being differently abled can be pleasure-full and powerful. This prayer is an invitation to embrace our wholeness and attune to the wisdom of all beings. @alchemy_of_the_sole Music by Beautiful Chorus

Let us begin with our breath.

Taking a moment to center ground.

Arrive in the present moment.

Connect with the Source as we prepare to receive the blessings of this prayer.

With each breath in,

We receive life force,

Light,

Love.

With each breath out,

We release what no longer serves us.

Creating space to receive that which serves our highest good.

Breathing in,

Belly expands.

Breathing out,

Navel moves towards the spine,

Emptying out completely.

Breathing through your nose.

Exhaling through your mouth.

Sighing on the exhale if you desire.

Softening with each exhalation,

Releasing your shoulders.

Breathing in,

Exhaling.

Let us take three deep breath cycles together,

Moving at your own pace.

Release.

Taking control of your breath as you allow yourself to come into sacred silence.

Acknowledging the presence of Source.

I invite you to place your hands on your heart space in prayer position or wherever feels right for you in this moment.

Let us pray.

Grandmother Spider,

A prayer by Lindsay Abramites Smith.

Grandmother Spider,

Teach me to weave a web to hold all of my parts.

Show me the way to shine in my darkness.

Let me feel connected to the great web that brings us all together.

I allow my body,

My soul,

My being to be held in a love that is greater than my comprehension and my wildest imaginings.

My every cell,

My every atom is permeated by love.

Love flows through my entire being and it connects me to all that is.

And so it is.

Ashe.

Grandmother Spider,

A prayer by Lindsay Abramites Smith.

Narrated by Zohar Inyo.

After this, I wrote: My existence cannot be explained by a check mark on a box. Not male or female. Not race or ethnicity. Nothing can contain the thousands of miles and the stretches of millenia my DNA has traveled to be here - expressed now in this body. Namaste - and thank you for sharing this prayer.

I’ll save this for the middle of the day when I need a reminder because I’ve drifted off from where my morning meditation led me

Beautiful. The only thing was the background sounds were slightly too loud compared to her beautiful speaking voice. None the less, a wonderful meditation and poem. Thank you
