Guided Shadow Journey To Empower The Inner Victim

Journey to the underworld with the Goddess Persephone, Queen of the Underworld and meet the victim archetype within. Bring healing and awareness into your world as you empower her through your love, acceptance and presence.

Starting with allowing your breath to just take you on a journey within.

Feel each inhale carrying you deeper and deeper within.

Feel yourself now drawing in light with your breath and allowing that light to fill your body,

To fill your belly and to start to flow through every single cell within you.

And as that light fills your body,

Feel it expanding out,

Filling all the space around you with pure light.

And feel that light now carrying you through time and space.

And feel yourself surrender to the light,

Allowing yourself to be carried in complete trust and surrender,

Knowing the light knows exactly where you need to go.

And as you drift in the light,

Feel your mind and consciousness open,

Receptive.

Feel the light now,

Hovering above a beautiful field of flowers,

Wildflowers,

Growing abundantly.

You become aware that these flowers,

White and yellow,

Are the Narcissus flower,

Growing wildly.

And you feel the light carrying you down to land in this field of flowers.

And as your feet land on the earth,

And you feel the land greeting you,

Feel the light disperse around you,

And you become aware in the distance,

A maiden goddess collecting flowers.

And as you walk towards her,

You feel a strange stirring inside your heart,

An opening and unravelling,

And you feel that this goddess,

This maiden goddess,

Is familiar to you.

And as you get closer,

And she turns around,

You realise this is the goddess Persephone,

A beautiful maiden goddess of the spring,

And also queen of the underworld.

And she walks towards you,

Having created a beautiful crown of flowers in her hands.

And as you walk towards her,

And she embraces you,

She places this crown of flowers upon your head,

Kisses your cheeks,

And lets you know how happy she is that you are here prepared to go on this journey today.

And she takes you by the hand and lets you know that today you'll be journeying together down into the underworld,

And that you'll be safe with her,

As the underworld is her home also.

And she guides you towards an opening in the earth,

And together you begin a steep descent down into the underworld.

And as you feel yourself going lower and lower underground,

You find yourself quite quickly heading towards the gates to the underworld.

And there you see the three-headed dog,

And Hecate,

Holding her torch of light,

The flame of awareness,

And the keys around her neck,

And when she sees you coming,

She unlocks the gates.

And as she greets Persephone,

She greets you,

And you take a moment with Hecate,

Allowing her to impart any wisdom you may need to hear before you take this journey.

And you enter now through the gates of the underworld,

Persephone walking by your side,

And letting you know that there is someone you need to see today,

Someone that has been waiting for you,

Someone that is very significant on your life's journey.

And as you continue to walk deeper into the underworld with Persephone,

You become aware that somewhere in the background is Hecate.

You can't see her there,

But you know that in the dark,

She's there for you in case you need her.

And as Persephone leads you deeper into the underworld,

You start to get a sense in your solar plexus,

There's something moving through you,

Something activating within you,

Something around your personal power.

Maybe you're beginning to sense an attachment with someone or something.

Allow yourself to keep moving,

And feel as you go deeper,

Feel Persephone now guiding you into what looks like an underground cave.

And as you enter,

She holds a torch for you to see the walls,

And upon these walls are stories written in symbols,

Some written in words,

Some very ancient stories,

And some newer more recent stories.

And as you run your hands along the wall,

You become aware that these stories are yours.

Stories of the past,

Stories that you may have tried to forget,

And stories that still hold some power over you.

You become aware now that hiding over in the dark is a part of you,

And as you make your way towards her,

You feel a torch,

A flame,

Moving in front of you,

Illuminating who this aspect of you is,

And you see her there,

The victim will call her.

She who is currently disempowered,

Perhaps entangled,

Entrapped.

Allow yourself to see her story,

And let her know that you are here to support her in healing,

And you want her to come back with you when she's ready,

And that you want to hear her and support her,

And to help her grow through all that has happened,

To help her escape if she needs to,

From the pain and suffering she may be in.

She may be confused,

She may have been bamboozled by someone,

By something,

By an experience.

She may feel guilty or responsible,

Or blamed.

She may have been held prisoner,

She may have been abused,

She may have made a lot of bad choices.

Work with her now,

Let her feel your compassion,

Your support,

And let her know that you're willing to walk with her through all of the places in time where she's been disempowered in some way,

And take her hand,

Reassure her,

And start to walk with her in Persephone,

Knowing Hakate is somewhere behind you as well,

And walk with her to go back through all the situations,

The times and places she's been in where she has lost her power in this life in any lifetime,

And take her to reclaim her power from all of those that may be holding it,

Whoever they are in whatever form it's been taken.

She may have even just given it over to them,

Because she was in love,

Because she was in fear,

Because she was uncertain,

Whatever it might have been,

Whatever the circumstance.

Feel yourself and Persephone and her going to reclaim all that belongs to you,

And go far and wide into all the hidden places,

Searching the underworld for whatever is hiding,

And reclaiming it all,

Every little bit of your power,

Going back to every situation that you need to,

To every soul that's holding it,

And knowing that Persephone is queen of the underworld,

She will support you in reclaiming all that you need to,

And feel every bit of your power that you reclaim,

Feel it coming back in the form of light,

And every part of you that you reclaim,

Coming back through the light,

Healed and whole,

Ready to rejoin with you in an empowered way,

And feel her starting to heal and strengthen,

As you continue to support her in calling back all her power,

And disentangling from all of those that have taken it,

Or hold on to it.

When you feel you've gathered all you need to for now,

Feel yourself walking Persephone on one side,

And her on your other,

Start to continue walking through the underworld,

Feeling her stronger as you walk beside her,

More empowered,

Freer,

As you let her know that she has choice,

She gets to choose now,

Which way she wants to go,

And how her life looks,

She gets to choose where her energy goes,

And she can choose to have boundaries,

Support her,

And take care of her,

And then she can own her own power,

And herself.

Feel yourself now,

As you're moving forward,

Her on one side,

Persephone on the other,

Feel yourself crossing another threshold in the underworld,

As if you're entering another realm within the realm,

And as you enter that space,

You feel yourself being guided,

Until you enter what appears to be a throne room,

A place of royalty,

And upon a throne,

Sits your Queen,

Queen of your underworld,

Benevolent ruler,

Fair and compassionate,

And as she greets you,

And she greets Persephone,

You feel her stepping down off her throne,

And embracing the aspect of you that was once the victim,

And she welcomes her so warmly into her arms,

And the Queen lets her know that she's so grateful she's come,

For she holds the key to freeing her,

To freeing her power,

And together they can rule together,

And you may now feel them merging to become one,

Or uniting side by side,

Allow whatever needs to unfold,

To do so now,

But feel your Queen being free,

And as you feel them in healthy balance power,

Feel them now both merging with you,

Integrating within you,

And feel yourself now journeying back with Persephone,

Back through the underworld,

And as you come back through the underworld,

And feel yourself arriving back at the gates,

You feel Hakate appearing again,

With the key to open the gates,

To let you out,

And as you stop to thank her,

She takes a few moments with you,

As you reflect on the wisdom of your journey,

Your journey as a victim in this life,

And others,

Your journey of disempowerment she helps you to reflect on what you did learn,

And what gifts you're taking with you as you leave the underworld what wisdom are you going to carry forward,

What did you learn about yourself,

And in all the roles you played what did you have to own about yourself,

And take responsibility for,

Or what do you now have to go and own take responsibility for,

Allow her to communicate with you for a moment as you reflect,

And feel both Persephone and Hakate walk through the gates with you,

Closing them behind you,

And as you journey with Persephone back up to the surface,

You feel yourself coming back up to the flowering land,

Back up to be greeted by the sun,

Embraced by Demeter feel all the wisdom journeying through you and with you,

And you allow yourself a few moments,

Just to allow it to integrate what you've learnt on your journey as a victim,

And what blessings you'll carry forward,

And as you take a few more moments with Demeter,

With Persephone,

Allow yourself to continue to reflect,

And feel the light now journeying back to form around you and feel it gently picking you up,

And you in total trust and surrender,

Just allowing the light to carry you back through time and space reflecting in the light,

As you're carried all the way back to this time and place,

Back into this divine body that is your vessel in this life back into this room,

And as you feel yourself gently entering your body,

Your vessel,

Your temple,

Allow yourself a few minutes of stillness and presence with yourself to reflect on the wisdom you've learnt from your journey and the wisdom,

And use your breath to integrate you,

To bring you fully back into presence with your body and you might like to write down a few of those key themes or words that are relevant for you,

That you know you've learnt from your journey wisdoms that you might like to further embody
